As Mistress Centipede grew, squishing Kagome and Inuyasha closer together, Kagome stared up at Inuyasha. "Okay, Inuyasha... that's your name, right?" At Inuyasha's nod, Kagome continued, "All I have to do, is remove this arrow, and you'll be able to move again, right?"
"That's right, girl," replied Inuyasha. "Now hurry it up before Mistress Centipede gets too powerful."
"I'll join you in waxing this critter."
Inuyasha blinked at the girl who was squeezed up against himeself by the mutating Mistress Centipede quite tightly. "Don't be silly, girl. Mistress Centipede would've had you for lunch even at her normal power. What makes you think you can help."
"How 'bout if I tell you that I was bluffing and I could easily take her down even now?" asked Kagome coyly.
"... Prove it!"
*STRENGTH RAMP-UP: 100% BATTLE POWER*
"You're on!" With that, Kagome easily shoved off the bulk of Mistress Centipede's segments, wrapped her arms around a segment, and squeezed with all of her power. A fraction of a second later, the segment exploded into meaty chunks. Inuyasha's eyes widened. Now able to move freely, Kagome grabbed the sealing arrow and pulled. To everyone's amazed eyes, with a crack of thunder it vanished.
Kagome leapt away as Inuyasha busted lose from his vines, letting out a peal of joyous laughter. He flipped over to land in front of the grotesquely distorted Mistress Centipede. The two faced off.
"YoUUUuu... cHIiiiLLlldddDD..." growled the monster, charging the insolent youth.
"Old enough for you, hag!!" Inuyasha growled back, and struck out with one clawed hand.
"SANKON TETS'SOU!"
Inuyasha's attack was vicious, and his weapon sharp. But instead of going through Mistress Centipede like he'd expected, the bulky opponent seemed to have the foresight to know that getting hit with this attack would be the end of the line for it, and the agility to dance out of the way of his strike.
"DAMMIT!" the dog-boy cursed.
"i Am nOT THaT muCH a FOOl, ChiLD!" chuckled Mistress Centipede, her power increasing by the second. Inuyasha growled with frustration, popping his knuckles.
