"They're all teenagers, but they aren't the problem," said Malachite. "One of them has an A-Class yojimbo."
"THAT is a significant departure from the norm," acknowledged Kuro. "An 'A-Class'? Hmmm. Still, not a problem. Just make sure that any attacks follow the proper forms and are a personal challenge. The code that a yojimbo operates by keeps them from interfering unless the magical girl in question outright refuses. If you ambush or attack without properly setting it up, the yojimbo in question is quite within their official capacity. Don't underestimate an 'A-Class' - some of them might come back from the dead specifically to avenge their loss."
Keeping in mind that he was facing a vampire, Malachite acknowledged the possibility. "We have the resources to swat these annoyances down, but doing so would cause us to operate more openly than we would prefer at present."
"Understood," said Kuro with a nod. "Here we go. Fourteen or over?"
Malachite nodded.
Kuro spread several sheets out. "Here we have several choices from among the more popular problem solvers. Hideyoshi here is a vampire, has the normal restrictions of our kind but has focussed on his seduction skills. Once he's tasted a girl's blood, his hypnotic skills are reputed to be top notch. A bit kinky perhaps, but he could have these magical girls so busy fighting over his favors that they lose sight of your organization entirely.
"There is this one, Akuma - though he's a bit of a wild cannon. When you need someone smashed into the pavement, he's among the best but he has a tendency to drop cases where the fighting isn't up to his own standards.
"There is G, a thoroughly nasty individual even by my own standards. He is a yojimbo who has cut his ties as such and now operates in the shadows as an assassin. His rating is unknown but believed to be 'A-rank' at the very least and he has a number of individuals following him for one reason or another.
"Finally, we have Daishi - a ninja of some skill. As an assassin, he is exactly what a yojimbo opposes in his duties. Or we could get you a group discount on lesser ninja so that the entire clan will go after your target." Malachite eyed the pages still in the folder as well as those that had been spread out.
