"Oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck..." Were the constant sounds throughout the Masaki household as Ryoko was going through floors at desperate speeds.
Ayeka frowned. "Lord Tenchi, what do you suppose the Harlot is doing?" The purple-tressed woman huffed. "Honestly. She curses just like the space pirate she is."
Tenchi sweatdropped. "Uhh... yeah." Somehow what Ayeka said sounded really stupid.
Ayeka nodded her head firmly. At least lord Tenchi agreed with her. "If I could at least do something about her, I wouldn't mind these ruffians coming from out of nowhere and pushing earthen society around."
The pony-tailed boy frowned slightly. "Who are they, anyway? You've never talked about them before."
"I have no clue," Ayeka said. "This 'Empire seemingly came from out of nowhere." The noble Juraian huffed. "I'm beginning to think it's all a hoax. NO royalty is stronger than that of Jurai."
"... Right." Tenchi agreed, now wanting to upset Ayeka. "But... shouldn't your father know about them being here?"
Ayeka frowned. "I would do such IF I had a way to get in touch with him."
"Maybe Washu knows of a way..." Tenchi mulled distractedly.
Ayeka blinked her eyes. "Lord Tenchi, that is a BRILLIANT idea!" She smiled happily. "However do you come up with such intelligent ideas?"
Tenchi scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. He was actually thinking about Ryoko's behavior when he came up with that.
Speaking of Ryoko...
"Oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck, oh shit, oh fuck..."
"Darn it, monster woman!" Ayeka shouted. "Would you please stop being a foul-mouthed fiend!?"
"What's got you so scared, anyway?" Tenchi asked.
Ryoko paused for a moment. She then grabbed Tenchi by the wrist. "Can't forget you either."
She started to go up through the ceiling...
"HEY!" Tenchi cried.
...But Ayeka firmly grabbed Tenchi's ankle.
"LEAVE LORD TENCHI ALONE!" Ayeka shouted as she pulled down.
"IT'S NOT SAFE FOR TENCHI HERE ANYMORE!" Ryoko shouted and pulled up.
Tenchi's eyes widened in pain as his arm was nearly ripped off its socket.
"YES IT IS!" Ayeka shouted as she grabbed his right ankle with both hands and pulled down, HARD!
"NO IT'S NOT!"
"YES IT IS!"
"NO IT'S NOT!"
"YES IT IS!"
"NO IT'S NOT!"
"YES IT IS, PIRATE!"
"NO IT'S NOT, PRINCESS!"
"IS!"
"ISN'T!"
"IS!!"
"ISN'T!!"
"IS!!!"
"ISN'T!!!"
"OUUUUCHHHHH!!!"
"LEY GO OF HIM, HARLOT!" Ayeka shouted. "YOU'RE HURTING HIM!"
"NO! YOU'RE HURTING HIM!" Ryoko shouted as she tugged back!
"YOU ARE!" Ayeka tugged down.
"YOU ARE!" Ryoko tugged up.
"NO, YOU ARE!" Ayeka tugged down.
"I SAY YOU ARE!" Ryoko tugged upwards.
Tenchi could do nothing but bite his lips in an attempt not to cry. This was going to be one of those days.
Fortunately, before Tenchi could be torn in two, the voice of wisdom spoke up, rather loudly.
"Ladies, I don't think my grandson can live if he is cut in half," an elderly man said with an amused smile.
Both women blinked their eyes a few times before letting go...
Tenchi slumped to the ground in a groaning heap.
"Sorry, Tenchi..." Ryoko said in, *gasp* apology!
“It's... okay, Ryoko," Tenchi groaned out.
Ayeka frowned. "Ryoko, just what is with you!?"
The cyan-haired woman floated there, looking ashamed. "Listen, these guys are gonna be big, BIG trouble. It won't be safe for Tenchi or me!"
"What do you know, Ryoko?" Katsuhito asked. He knew as well, but wanted to keep up the act that he didn't.
Ryoko sighed. "Look, I've been all around the universe at least three times over in my life... And I've seen the Empire in Action... Be they on Alderaan... Hoth... Tantooine... ESPECIALLY Tatooine" She shook her head. "And it's not pretty.."
Tenchi turned to Ayeka to see if she knew what Ryoko was talking about.
Ayeka just shrugged her shoulders. "She must be lying," She said. "For *I* have NEVER heard of these planets. And the Juraian Empire encompasses all!"
"It certainly didn't encompass Earth," Ryoko grumbled.
"Are you certain of that, Ayeka?" Katsuhito asked, uncharacteristically being serious as he asked about the universe.
"Of course," Ayeka said. "Father always mentioned how Jurai was the eternal power and source of light throughout the Galaxy. We rule over all, and had brought forth the Galaxy Police to maintain order."
"I hear the term Galaxy used there," Katsuhito pointed out.
"Of course," Ayeka said. "I did say that Jurai rules over all the galaxy."
"The universe is formed by many galaxies," Tenchi said understanding what his grandfather was getting at.
Ayeka's eyes widened in realization.
Katsuhito nodded. "It certainly isn't impossible for what Ryoko says to be true."
Ryoko smirked. "So your Empire rules over one galaxy. BIG DEAL! I know ANOTHER Empire! HELL, I KNOW MANY! THE SALUSIANS, THE ZARDONS, THE ATLANTIANS..." Ryoko shivered. "But THE Empire is the worst..."
"Ryoko, you speak of them as if they were nothing but monsters..." Tenchi trailed off.
"They aren't..." Ryoko said. "The soldiers are complete pansies... The ships aren’t that tough… It's... HIM that's horrible..." She shivered. "And I know HE'S here. The demonstration on TV was enough to show me."
Katsuhito frowned. He had a really bad feeling about this one. "Who are you talking about, Ryoko?"
"The Dark Father," Ryoko shivered in memory of him. "Darth Vader."
Katsuhito's eyes widened. "Oh fuck! Are you sure?!"
Tenchi's eyes widened in shock. "Grandfather!!!"
Ayeka had fainted dead at that. Katsuhito Masaki. The most noble and elderly man around, SWEARING!?
Ryoko blinked her eyes and turned to Katsuhito. "Wow... Didn't know you had it in you."
Katsuhito blinked and coughed a couple of times to clear his throat. "I'm sorry. Don't know was got into me." He was, however, really shaken at the revelation.
Tenchi turned from his grandfather to Ryoko. "Is it that bad?"
Ryoko nodded. "I... I barely escaped him that first time..." She frowned. “I screwed him over by jettisoning him into deep space when he trapped me in an airlock of a Star Destroyer. I was lucky Ryo-Ohki beamed me up into her, but I seriously hoped that would have been the end of him."
“He survived being in space?" Tenchi asked in disbelief. "Maybe this is another guy. He must've died."
"No, it's him," Ryoko said. "I recognize the voice and his MO. Chocking people without placing his hands on them."
Tenchi paled. That didn't sound like someone he wanted to meet at all.
Ryoko shivered. “I also hit him with more than a few blasts of energy. With such reflexes he deflected them with ease. And he's pretty damn fast on his feet. Sliced my hand off once."
Ryoko shook her hand. "Thank God I could re-grow it."
"What can we do, then?"
"Hide," Ryoko said. "And when they leave earth, RUN while we have the chance!"
“..." That wasn't the answer Tenchi was expecting.
Ryoko looked at Tenchi and smiled. "And if you want, we can go off and live happily ever after in a galaxy far, far away."
Tenchi sweatdropped. That was a reaction he expected out of Ryoko.
