January 7, 2005. The world on the whole did not know of the existence of alien life, or the faint possibility that life could exist outside of the Solar System.
At 1:43 pm, Eastern Time... The truth was out there.
From seemingly out of nowhere they appeared. Six HUGE flying ships in a semi-triangular shape appeared above Earth's atmosphere.
They were hard to miss; being so big they almost seemed to block the light of the sun.
Three hours later, they were strategically placed amongst the world. Over the United States, South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, and one on constant surveillance, following the equator.
Panic was a common reaction all around the world.
And yet, amongst confusion, more level-heads rose. The situation now was not to start any sort of interstellar war.
Especially since only days prior the release of 'Independence day, true reckoning.'
And worse, all transmissions that they could muster to send to such vessels were either ignored or possibly never received.
"No..." One person in the world did recognize those ships. And their significance. "NO!!!" She cried in desperation.
Thankfully she was alone at the moment.
Upon other places all over the world there were people that knew better.
That knew of the existence of aliens.
Or they were aliens themselves.
Yet something was wrong...
NONE of them knew of these ships. Or where they came from.
They had no reference to this sort of design.
It was, for lack of better term, 'alien' even to them!
And then, hours after their arrival and when speculation was at its highest... Radio silence was broken.
As the Flagship of the fleet, Star Destroyer "Liberation" was currently in constant motion as it circled the planet. The bridge was cleared of all personnel, and those at their stations were turning into frequencies of all communications array of earth.
The Admiral looked over to his superior in the captain's quarters. "Are you sure you don't want to give the commands of the Empire, Lord Vader?"
"It is your duty as commander of this ship, Admiral." Darth Vader said in the same frightening voice everyone had learned to fear. "Make sure, however, not to reveal our target's identity. The Emperor will not have his prize jeopardized."
The Admiral nodded. "Yes, Lord Vader," Admiral Jarvin answered and saluted his superior. He then walked out from the captain's quarters and onto the bridge of the ship, crew members at their stations hard at work.
This would be it. First Contact.
Everyone in the world was watching their television sets, waiting to see what transpired.
Finally, a true transmission came through. Standing there in the center of a room with vast technology and work stood a man; surprisingly, going against the expected and appearing VERY human! Rather young, some would say, early twenties. Black hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore a dark grayish brown uniform and hat, similar to that of a Captain in the United States Coastguard, although decorated with markings of unknown origin.
"Citizens of planet Earth," Jarvin spoke strongly, yet didn't shout. "I am Moff Jarvin, Admiral of the Imperial Star-Fleet of the Empire. I assure you, we come in peace."
Murmurs of relief were heard down. Though there were those that raised both eyebrows since they had never heard of this Empire.
"We of the Empire are from a Galaxy far, far away from your simple Galaxy. It is by a mere flux in the time-space continuum that we are capable of being here in your life-time," Admiral Jarvin explained.
"We come to your planet Earth on a simple rescue mission; one of utmost importance, and we plead the governing bodies of Earth to give us tolerance and the room to act."
Removing his hat, Jarvin took a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped his brow for a moment, before placing it back, and putting his hat back on. "One of our own has entered into your solar system long ago through the very same worm-hole we traveled through. It is of the utmost importance we find this man. The very future of the Empire hangs in the balance of finding the young man."
"NO! Please, oh PLEASE!!!" The only one true person that knew what this meant screamed to the heavens.
In the Masaki shrine people had different reactions to the appearance of this new Empire.
Yosho was himself and kept quiet, soberly studying the man in the screen.
Ayeka was huffing about this Empire having to ask permission from Jurai first.
Ryoko got a little pale, upon recognizing that insignia.
Washu was jumping up and down in excitement.
"I'm so fucked if they find me here..." Ryoko mumbled.
Admiral Jarvin paused for a moment. Unsure if he should reveal the nature of this boy. Well, as long as he didn't tell the name, all should be well. And if they knew how desperately this child was needed, they may get assistance. "This young man is the son out our Emperor. Our Emperor has grown frail, and the next generation is needed to ascend to the throne; the blood-heir of the Emperor! And he is here!"
In another room Darth Vader stood up from his seat and started walking towards the bridge.
Admiral Jarvin continued. "So please, we would appreciate any help that your governments can offer. And by studying your 'internet', we've been able to figure out where we need to go. We must insist that all major international airports be cleared within six hours so that we may begin operations. We will need the space as landing back for Y-Transport Cruisers. Each Cruiser can hold two regiments of Storm troopers."
The Admiral turned to the side. "Company 34, Hutt!"
A booming voice was heard even if the owner of said voice didn't appear on the screen. "I told you not to reveal the identity of our objective."
The Admiral froze on the spot. "But lord Vader, I never gave his name," The Admiral responded to the booming voice.
"You have failed, Admiral." The voice said ignoring what the scared man said completely.
"But... But..." The man tried, only to gasp and start gagging.
It was a horrid sight. The man fell to his knees chocking, his hands grasping around at his neck at something that couldn't be seen.
"The Emperor does not tolerate mistakes." The booming voice was heard once again.
People around the world were horrified. What was happening to that man?
And finally, the Admiral fell to the ground. His body went through what most recognized as death-throes before going completely still.
The transmission was cut after that, leaving behind a feeling of doom that filled the general population of the Earth with panic.
If something like that was done to one of their own...
As panic began to sweep in, before any sort of public auditory could be held in any country, the transmission came through once more.
This time, another man in the same uniform, only this one was thinner. Blue hair down in a pony-tail, clean-shaven, and light blue eyes.
And one could not miss two things.
The first was the line of soldiers behind him in white armor. Armor that was black in points that couldn't offer the same level or protection, such as joints and hands. One soldier even had a black leather shoulder guard along his left shoulder, an Insignia upon it.
And the second fact was that this guy was nervous as hell!
One thing was clear to the entire world. This Moff Tarkel wasn't the one calling the shots. And whoever it was that did scared the shit out of his/her men.
"I..." The blonde squeaked out before taking a gulp to try and clear his throat. "I," He started again, "Am recently-appointed Moff Tarkel."
"This," He said as he pointed behind him, "Is one regiment of our 'Storm troopers.'"
All thirteen soldiers saluted.
"As you can see, a regiment is made up of thirteen Storm troopers," Tarkel continued. "Twelve regular soldiers, and one Captain, who is signified by his shoulder pad he wears, much like our desert-based 'Sand troopers.'"
By now Ryoko was hiding under the table. This just couldn't be happening. It just couldn't.
In Juuban, the Senshi were all watching the proceedings and knowing they'd most likely have to fight a new enemy, if the display of the dying man was any indication.
One of them, though, the oldest of them all was filled with anger at this new threat that came out of nowhere.
"Our Storm troopers are armed with plasma-cannons that can be set to multiple strengths. While on patrols for the..." He stopped and caught himself. "For our target, they are to be set on stun, as to not cause any casualties."
"Please," Admiral Tarkel said. "I assure you, the Storm troopers are not out to do any fighting, however, they will defend themselves if attacked. So if you see a regiment, I plead that you cooperate and everything will be fine."
"Peaceful my ass..." Ryoko whispered.
Admiral Tarkel tugged at the collar of his uniform. No, he wasn't choking; he was just feeling VERY hot.
"Now, I will say if any dignitaries of earth wish to get into contact with us, I have been told you may be allowed to have on dispatch group out to interview with or possibly get message out to the troops that will be landing in..." He looked off to the side. "Five hours standard hours and forty minutes. But if you are to do so, then I must repeat that all major international airfields need to be clear of primitive aircraft."
Ryoko by now was thinking that she should've kidnapped Tenchi and had that little escapade she had planned on Dabas' tropical islands.
Escaping right now would be downright impossible with those things up there.
"That is all for now," Moff Tarkel said as he held up his right fist. "Long live the Emperor and peace through the Empire!"
"Long live the Emperor and peace through the Empire!" The Storm troopers behind cried said as well, mimicking his movements.
