"Oh my, no - that wouldn't do. Would it?" Mihoshi pulled a PDA (except that they normally weren't hot pink and covered in astrological symbols) out of nowhere and began working it. "Nope. It has him down here as male in gender orientation and sexual derivation. So a prince wouldn't work."
"HEY! LET ME GO! HEEYYYYY!" (SMEK)
Everyone present watched as the two fathers tied Akane up and forced her lips onto the sleeping Ranma's. Ranma remained asleep.
"Why didn't it work?" Soun asked. "Isn't this supposed to work where Ranma and Akane kiss and are then married?"
"Well, not quite," explained Mihoshi.
Nabiki peered over Mihoshi's shoulder (having to go to tiptoes) to read the display and found that it was in a language she didn't understand. "Can you translate that to Japanese?"
"Oh yeah," said Mihoshi. "That's easy. He'll sleep like this in stupendous animatration..."
"Suspended animation," politely corrected Kasumi as she peered over Mihoshi's other shoulder. "So he won't age or require air or food or fluids while he's asleep. Oh, I see."
"Kasumi, you read this gibberish?" Nabiki was aghast.
"You remember Lars? That Nordic transfer student/massage therapist that had attended Furinkan when I was there?" Kasumi smiled at the distant memory. "His hands weren't the only thing he was good with."
Everyone stared briefly at Kasumi (except Mihoshi) making a double entendre comment before shaking it off and assuring themselves that that couldn't have been what she had meant.
"Waitaminute, I know the command to translate this into Japanese is here somewhere..." Mihoshi was still trying to puzzle it out. "Oh yeah, this'll work."
| The "Sleeping
Beauty" Curse/Enchantment 2.11: Places the victim/subject in suspended animation until the kiss is given. This means that Jusenkyo curses will also be suspended during the duration of the enchantment. A side effect of the enchantment means that the word will get out about the enchantee. Breaking the enchantment: Only a kiss will break the enchantment. Not just a kiss from anyone will do, however. 1. The Kiss will have to come from at least minor nobility. Nobility of spirit can substitute for actual status if no Prince/Princess can be located within a suitable amount of time. (101 years). 2. The Kiss will have to come from someone who cares about the subject, or who is capable of becoming that subject's True Love and has at least a 50% chance of living happily ever after. 3. The Kiss can be on the lips, hand, or other suitable body part. Upon receiving The Kiss, both participants benefit by having any existing curses or black band enchantments lifted from them, and will glimpse the other's soul to promote a minor bond. Normal activities at this point will ensure the couple has a better than even chance of living at least moderately happily ever after. 2.11 ADDENDUM: If no obstacles exist to the Sleeping Prince/Princess, such will be provided by those who intend the subject harm and attempt to awaken him/her with a Kiss as a secondary linked enchantment/effect. Such secondary transformees will return to their normal form after the enchantment on the primary subject is broken. |
