Just then, the front door opened and in stepped a female cloaked in purple. Davis took one look and leapt from his chair. "KARI!!"
The others watched his race off towards the girl. Mai, without looking at him, asked TK "Is that-?"
"No, though the hair style is similar."
"Should we-?"
"Again, no. I doubt he'll listen to reason right now."
Indeed, for Davis was deliriously happy to see whom he thought was Kari. "Kari, Kari, where have you been-?"
The girl pointed her hand at Davis, shooting a sphere of black light at him. The sphere collided with Davis, zapping him like a jolt of electricity and causing him to fall to the floor. "I'm not Kari," the girl stated.
Surprisingly, Davis got back up and again headed for the girl. "Cool trick, Kari! How'd yo-?"
She zapped him again. "I'm not Kari," she said again, louder.
But Davis got back up on his feet. And he got blasted again. This went on for about one minute until finally the girl let out a furious cry and not only blasted Davis heavily, but then proceeded to stomp on his head repeatedly. "Get it in your thick skull, you idiot: I. AM. NOT. KARI!!!"
"Blast him a few more times," a soft voice said as four more people entered the doorway. "Just for good measure."
TK blinked. He knew that voice. Looking over, he smiled. "There, you are, Kari! What kept you and Yolei?"
"TK!!" Kari sprinted across the hall and tackled TK to the floor. "Where've you been? I was worried sick!"
Kaiba, watching Kari as she grilled TK for information while pinning him to the floor, leaned over to Yugi and whispered, "You know, he really has a nice, sly touch with women."
Yugi nodded in agreement. "Lucky him."
By the time TK had gently moved Kari so he could stand up, Robin, Yolei, Starfire and Raven had joined the group by the reception desk. "I see Davis and I weren't the only ones rescued from freefalling, only I'm jealous that you girls were saved by the Teen Titans."
"Hey," Jounochi said, green with envy, "they may be super heroes, but we're famous, too! Yugi's the winner of the Duelist Kingdom and Battle City tournaments, and Mai, Kaiba and myself finished in the finals of both those tournaments."
Starfire leaned closer to Jounochi. "Are there really a kingdom for dueling and a city of battling on this planet? I had never been told. Earth is indeed more and more like Tamaran after all!"
"Don't mind her," Robin said, "she's still adjusting to Earth."
Jounochi just nodded. While Starfire was very cute, even though she had orange skin, she was kinda scary in a non-threatening sort of way. "So... what brings three of the Teen Titans to England?"
Raven pulled out a brochure from her cloak. "We got invited, same as you. I would have stayed home but Starfire practically dragged me along."
Kari looked at TK and smiled. "I'm just glad you're not hurt. I was really worried." She then took his hand into hers.
Just then, Davis popped up between them and roughly pushed TK away. "I saw that," he snarled, "just keep your hands off my girl, TB!"
TK was about to retort that it was Kari who took his hand, when Raven once more blasted Davis with one of her black spheres. "You know," Raven said, "I'm starting to enjoy that."
Suddenly, the front door opened once more and another group of people came in, mostly women with one guy. Among them was a young girl with black hair and a golden tan who eyed at the guys happily. "Wow," she exclaimed, "there are more guys on this tour that I thought there'd be!" She skipped ahead of her group and grabbed Yugi by the arm. "You look like boyfriend material. You single? My cousin could use a boyfriend like you-.""
"CHIKA-CHAN!!" A busty red-haired woman with glasses rushed over and grabbed Chika, pulling her off Yugi while Anzu pulled Yugi away, glaring at Chika. The woman bowed several times and kept saying "I'm sorry" while backing away with Chika in tow.
Another woman, wearing a blue kimono, bowed at the group. "We do apologize. Chika-chan is very open and greatly influenced by romance magazines. Are all of you here for the tour as well?"
"Indeed they are!"
Everyone looked up towards the nearby staircase to see a man with silver hair and red sunglasses coming down the stairs. His clothes were that of a rich nobleman of old, and he spoke with a friendly, yet strong voice. "Welcome, my friends, to Castle Gaktoa! I am your humble host; Count Kagato, at your service. Please forgive the lateness of my greeting you all, but I was on the far side of the castle finishing the last of the guest rooms."
Once he was at the bottom of the staircase, he walked over to the group. he then eyed the woman in the kimono. "Ahh, such beauty, such elegance. Surely you are Aoi Sakuraba, heir to the Sakuraba Clan I've read about. My dear, let me say it an honor to have you in my home.
"And I see we have three of the great Teen Titans among us, and four of the world's best and foremost duelists as well! Indeed this is a great honor."
"The honor is ours," Aoi said, bowing. "Perhaps we should all introduce ourselves since our host was gracious enough to start with himself. I am Aoi Sakuraba."
"I'm Kaoru Hanabishi, an associate of Aoi-chan's and her guardian for the tour."
"I am Mayu Miyuki, and where Hanabishi-sama goes, I am never far behind."
"I'm Taeko Minazuki, Miss Aoi's housekeeper, and this is my cousin, Chika."
"Robin."
"Raven."
"I am called Starfire, and I come from the planet Tamaran."
"I'm Takeru Takaishi, but everyone calls me TK."
"Yolei Inoue."
"Hikari 'Kari' Yagami."
"Daisuke 'Davis' Motomiya, Kari's boyfriend." Once more, he got blasted by Raven.
"Yugi Mutou."
"Seto Kaiba."
"Mai Shiranui."
"Jounochi Katsuya."
"Anzu Mazaki."
Kagato clapped his hands in excitement. "Wonderful! Now, I assume you're all tired from your trip, so we'll now decide where you all stay and with whom."
Davis moved to grab Kari's arm, but he stopped himself as Raven had summoned another of her spheres.
Kagato clapped his hands a basket floated into the hall and stopped near his side. "In this basket are several room keys with different tag pieces on their rings. There are two keys per room, and the matching keys are the ones whose tags connect to each other correctly."
"Uh, excuse me," Taeko spoke up, "But I took a head count and there's 17 of us."
Kagato blinked, and then silently did a head count. "By golly, you're right. Well... I guess one of you will have to bunk with two people."
"Chika stays with me," Taeko said firmly.
"Understood. That's very reasonable. Well, anyway, who will be first to pick a key?"
Taking a deep breath, TK took several steps forward. Kagato smiled, watching TK reach into the basket and pulled out a key. One-by-one, the others picked their keys from the basket. Finally, Kagato said, "Now, young Master TK, since you were the first to pick a key, you may find your match and roommate first." Hee hee! Little do they realize that I've fixed the tags so most of them match with one boy and one girl per room. Of course, I didn't plan on having an odd number of guests, or having more girls than guys. Oh well, at least the lesbian fans will finally get what they want and get off my back.
