Yuri sighed as she looked about the 'guest room' she was forced to stay in for the remainder of the exchange program.
She knew her fool of a father wanted her to get a move-on and start the year so she could look after Kasumi...
"But do I have to be HERE!?" She shouted as she kicked the Alligator in the snout.
Even though the place was a fucking mansion, the residents insisted on her staying inside the small shack where they kept health and food supplies for Kodachi's pet Midorigame.
And all because of her stupid old man. He wouldn't even allow her to go back to the States to pick up some personal stuff! Said she had to protect Kasumi.
"This is worse than one of Dad's..." She stopped and looked down at the Alligator she could easily kick away. "No, it's still not as bad as one of dad's grape smoothies."
At least she was about to go to school this morning. It would be a nice change of scenery and she'd get to chat with Kasumi all the time.
"Grrr..."
*KA-BOOT!*
"But first I have to survive THIS mess," Yuri grumbled irritably.
---
Ranma laid on his back atop the futon. A small snot-bubble on his left nostril as he snored.
The door to the guest room opened silently and in walked the new houseguest, having been told to wake Ranma up.
Upon entering the room, Kasumi saw the pigtailed housemate in his boxers and an undershirt. She had to admit, he was in pretty good shape.
Not unexpected, since he trained diligently, but still she couldn't help letting her eyes linger a little before kneeling by his side. "Ranma... Wake up..."
Ranma didn't even flinch. He continued snoring...
...Which was almost drowned out by the sound of the panda snoring.
Kasumi lightly shook Ranma's shoulder. "Ranma... We have to go to school."
Again, Ranma slept like the dead.
The black-haired girl sighed and shook his shoulder a little harder. "Ranma... I don't want to be late on my first day."
Still sleeping with the capability to ignore an atomic explosion, Ranma rolled over, his arm draping over the shorter woman and bringing her down close to him.
Kasumi's eyes widened as she was forced to lay next to a sleeping Ranma. She blushed furiously when he rested his head against her chest. "... Ranma..." She whispered urgently as she tried to disengage from him.
A small trail of drool started to escape the corner of his lips as he started to nuzzle his head between Kasumi's breasts.
The girl panicked and shoved Ranma off a little harder than she intended, her face as red as Ranma-chan's hair.
Licking his lips in his sleep, Ranma mumbled, "Mmm... Twin meat-buns..."
The mortified girl took a hand to her chest and stood up. "Fine," She said trying to get her breathing under control. She wanted to get angry, but Ranma was asleep so she couldn't. "You'll be late and won't be able to have breakfast." With that she turned back to the door.
Ranma sat up suddenly, his eyes wide-open. "...Breakfast?"
Kasumi rolled her eyes. "It figures," she said and turned back to Ranma. "Get ready. We have school today."
Ranma nodded his head and stood up. "Okay, okay..." He mumbled sleepily as he walked over to his backpack to get his clothing...
...Which included a new set of undergarments as he slipped out of his own clothing he had slept in the night before.
Kasumi left the room quickly at that. She was already embarrassed enough as it was.
---
Yuri walked along the hallway next to the woman who was apparently the matriarch to the household. "Thanks for getting me out of the room, Kodachi-san" She said with genuine relief.
... If she had to spend another minute in there...
Kodachi sniffed. "It wouldn't do to have Midorigame eat you." Of course the Black Rose had other reasons to say that, even if it sounded nice. She didn't want her pet alligator to grow sick because he ate a gaijin harridan.
... Even if she WERE still half Japanese, this Yuri girl was a stain on Japan's heritage.
It was then that the girl's stomach let out a loud rumble. "So, what's for breakfast?" Yuri asked. She hadn't eaten anything since she got to this nuthouse.
"My chef will fix you something," Kodachi said dismissively and turned around a corner, completely ignoring Yuri and heading out to school.
"Uh... Thanks," Yuri said as she watched the other woman bound off. Yeesh. Talk about a cold shoulder. "Just who is said cook?"
What Yuri didn't know was that Kodachi gave her personal chef the day off, so she would have to go to school on an empty stomach.
Life sucked sometimes.
---
Ranma ran along the fence as he had a piece of toast in his mouth. He was going a little slower than usual so Kasumi could keep up with him.
But something was definitely different, though.
Kasumi was running behind him... On the fence!
The girl didn't seem to have any trouble keeping her balance, and now she was wearing jeans instead of a skirt so she could keep up with him.
"We'le gebbin' crossel," Ranma said around the food in his mouth.
Kasumi blinked a couple of times. "What was that?"
Rolling his eyes, Ranma swallowed the piece of toast. "I said we're gettin' closer."
The girl nodded as she kept on running. "Hiroshi and Daisuke will be there, right?"
Ranma nodded his head. "Of course they'll be there."
"Good," Kasumi smirked. "I need to apologize for scaring them like that yesterday... After I have slap each of them at least once."
Grinning to himself, Ranma mumbled, "Yeah, you're gonna fit in fine here." He then jumped to make it onto the fence across the street and keep running.
Kasumi did so as well, only that it didn't seem as easy and elegant as Ranma's display. "Do the people in school... know about your curse?" She asked wanting to be prepared. Maybe it was a secret and Ranma didn't want it to be revealed.
"It HAD been..." Ranma frowned sourly. "But everybody knows it now... 'Cept the Kunos. They're in their own little world."
"Those are the crazy ones, right?" Kasumi asked as she saw a school building down the street.
"Darn right," Ranma said.
The girl nodded and blinked as she saw the time on the clock tower. "Why are we still running?" They still had another ten minutes before school started.
Ranma frowned. "One of four reasons. One, I might get splashed and have to head off to Dr. Tofu's to get changed back. Two, I could be attacked by a rival. Three, I could be molested by a fiancée. And four... Well, that's what I think of as the, ‘I don't got any luck' factor."
"... If everyone knows about your curse, can't you change back in school?" The other reasons were sound, but the first one sounded weird.
Ranma came to a screeching halt atop the fence.
"..."
"......"
"........."
"...I never thought'a that..."
Kasumi wouldn't face faulted if she didn't think it was too dangerous while up here. "Can we walk the rest of the way, then?"
"Sure," Ranma said as he jumped down onto the sidewalk.
Kasumi smiled and joined him. "You didn't get up to train this morning," Kasumi commented casually. It was strange, since she thought Ranma would be an early riser to get some training in like she was.
Ranma shrugged. "It's odd... You know? I usually do sleep in, unless Akane splashes me with cold water, or my Pops decides he wants to spar."
"Want me to wake you up?" Kasumi asked and tried very hard to bury the memory of Ranma snuggling into her chest. She blushed slightly, but it was nowhere near as bad as it was when it happened.
"Nah, s'okay. Just give me a few days to sleep in, and I'll start waking up normally, I think," Ranma said seriously. "I sleep in because I don't usually get to sleep at night."
The girl nodded dubiously but didn't press him anymore. She rather turned to study her surroundings as they cross the school gates.
...And that is when her attention was accosted by a rather loud noise.
"GRRROOOWWLL..."
"..." Kasumi stopped and turned to Ranma. "You did have breakfast, right?"
Ranma nodded. "I did."
"Confound it, woman!" Kuno shouted. "Would you keep thy stomach silent? I art trying to keep my mind on high alert. Saotome may strike at any point!"
Yuri's eye twitched. "Hey, let's see you go without having dinner or breakfast!"
"Silence!" Kuno shouted. "This shalt be my last chance to defeat the foul sorceror before I head off to America."
Yuri rolled her eyes. Damn, what she wouldn't have given for a cheeseburger.
"And who are you to order my friend around?" Kasumi asked with no small amount of irritation. She was very easy-going most of the time, but when her close friends were miss-treated...
Kasumi wasn't as surprised as she should've been at seeing Yuri in a school uniform. She knew Takuma Sakasaki, after all.
Kuno frowned. "And who art thou?"
Yuri managed to smile. "Kasumi."
The little black-haired girl crossed her arms over her chest. "I'm Kasumi Todo, an exchange student."
Kuno frowned. "So?" He tightened the grip on his bokken.
"So, it means she's my friend," Ranma said.
Kuno's frown deepened. "Ah! And so the evil magus shows himself!"
Kasumi rolled her eyes. "Will you shut up?"
Kuno blinked his eyes in surprise. "E-excuse me?"
"She said for you to shut your trap, asshole," Yuri snorted. Going without food was making her VERY irritable.
Kasumi took Yuri's hand and dragged her friend off. While she was angry at Kuno it wouldn't look good for them if they picked a fight the first day of school.
Ranma however, had no such qualms. "Hey, Kuno!"
"What is-"
*WHAP!*
Kuno fell limply onto his back... And was then walked over by Ranma, who seemingly dug the heel of his foot into the Kendoist's sternum much harder than he should have.
Kasumi smiled at the pigtailed martial artist. "Thank you."
"No prob," Ranma said. "And hello again, Yuri."
Yuri blinked her eyes. "...Again?" She questioned. "Do I know you?"
"...Maybe..." Ranma chuckled nervously.
Kasumi blinked. "You met him yesterday, Yuri? Don't you remember?"
Yuri blinked her eyes. "I met a redhead girl..." She looked at Ranma. "In Chinese clothes..." She looked up at his hair. "And a pigtail."
Her eyes widened as she raised her hand to my mouth. "Oh my God..." Yuri mumbled.
Ranma nodded. "Yeah, it's-"
"You're a cross-dresser!" Yuri said accusingly.
*THUD!*
Ranma twitched as he face-faulted onto the ground.
Kasumi blinked. "..." And started giggling uncontrollably.
