"500 yen each, and a steal at that price," said Nabiki, smirking at her gullible dupe. A few pictures of Akane in a maid outfit and she would have enough money for ice cream later.
"The Heavens do weep at such outrageous fees," said Kuno, holding one picture in both hands.
"Daddy made a few poor investments," admitted Nabiki. "Akane found a part time job working for this guy."
"Is not the skirt a trifle long?" complained Kuno.
"It's a little over knee length," pointed out Nabiki. "It's a functional maid outfit. She's working over at the Saotome compound."
"This is an outrage!" declared Kuno.
"Actually five hundred yen isn't that bad," countered Nabiki.
"Nay! That is not it," protested Kuno. "If my love did seek employment, she need only have applied herself to me."
"No, she actually seems to be able to tolerate this Ranma Saotome guy," began Nabiki. Though from what she'd been able to see - Nabiki couldn't blame Akane. Rich and not exactly hard to look at.
Kuno frowned as he tried to fit this within his worldview.
