Ranma blinked as the magic finished, forming the winged woman. “A Phoenix?” he asked.
Kero-chan blinked. “No, she’s a Clow Card spirit.”
Ranma shrugged, before he held his hand out. “I’m Ranma Saotome of the Saotome School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. Nice ta meet you.”
Windy stared for a moment at the offered hand, unsure what to do.
Ranma sighed. Reaching out, he grabbed her appropriate hand, clasped it in his own, and gently shook it. “There, that means we’ve been introduced, and can be friends if ya want.”
“Friends?” asked the card.
Ranma nodded. “Sure, why wouldn’t we be friends? I mean, Kero-chan said you had free will and all.”
The Clow Card spirit smiled for a bit, before she lunged at Ranma, wrapping her arms around him. “Friends!”
Kerberos blinked at the scene. “Well that ... was unexpected.”
“Are you sure it’s okay for her to be out like that?” asked Kerberos, as Windy played around in an open area of the park.
Ranma shrugged. “She could be a tentacle demon and people still wouldn’t care in Nerima.” He paused for a bit, before turning to the talking plushie. “None of the others are tentacle demons, are they?”
“Of course not!” denied Kerberos.
“That’s good,” said Ranma. “Last thing I need to deal with is those guys again. They find out you are cursed to become a girl with cold water, and the next thing you know, they won’t stop trying to slip you one. And they were such nice neighbors too.”
Kerberos simply blinked. “Tentacles? Demons? Curse? Girl? Neighbors?!?!”
Even Windy had picked up the last of the conversation, and returned to her Master, wanting him to talk more about such weird tales. After all, shouldn’t she know a lot about her friend? That is what friends do, right?
