Ranma was many things
But a thinker was not it.
“Oh Ranma, welcome back,” said Kasumi as she finished sweeping the front step. “Who are your friends?”
“Oh, this is Kerberos and a Clow Card named Windy.”
“We shouldn’t be exposing ourselves like this,” grumbled the flying plushy.
Windy smiled as she bowed. She’d never been out for this long before. It was kind of nice. She knew like all Clow that their Master gave of himself—usually in energy—so that they could be out, mostly to use their powers. Some grew tired after a few minutes of using a Clow Card; a master could keep it up for hours.
Ranma wasn’t showing any strain, making her wonder how long he could keep a single Clow out.
“You always meet the most interesting people, Ranma-kun,” smiled Kasumi. “Are you hungry?”
“I could always eat whatever you make, Kasumi,” smiled Ranma, as he looked at the others. “You guys hungry?”
Windy decided that the human world was very enjoyable, as she ate the sandwich the human female had prepared for her.
Even Kerberos was silent, grudgingly agreeing that it was okay if Kasumi knew about them. Anyone who cooked that good couldn’t be a villain of any type.
“So you now have to go after these Clow Cards, Ranma-kun?” asked Kasumi, as she sat down with her own plate.
He nodded, swallowing his food. Kasumi didn’t like it when he spoke with his mouth full. “Yep, they all escaped somehow without Kero-chan noticing, and only Windy’s left. Now we got to go get them all.”
“How will you find them?”
“Oh they won’t be too hard to spot,” said Kerberos, pausing in his imitation of the Saotome Eating Style. “Once we find them, Ranma needs to defeat them and reseal them with his Keyblade.”
Kasumi nodded. It was such a nice little thing. And the sword it grew into was so cute. “But will they still be mean?”
“Nah,” said Kerberos. “Ranma only has to write his name on them so he’s their master, and they’ll obey him.”
Ranma blinked, before he turned to Windy. “Um, I ain’t enslaving you, am I?”
The winged girl paused in her meal, looking thoughtful, before smiling. “No, you are my friend, and I will always help my friends.”
Ranma sighed. “Well that’s good. I ain’t wanting to enslave anyone.”
“That’s very good of you, Ranma-kun,” smiled Kasumi. “And when you make friends with them, you can bring them here and I’ll make some snacks to celebrate your new friends.”
Kerberos wanted to deny that idea, but it did offer him the chance for more of this food. “Okay, but we can’t tell anyone else about this,” he said. “This is not supposed to be public knowledge. There are forces who would seek the Clow for their own benefit, and we must not give them any help to find us, less they seek the power by any means.”
“What power?”
The group paused in their meal, slowly turning around to spot...
