Meanwhile Jedite shuddered a little, frowned a bit, then grinned as he covered it by means of sipping his tea. After Kami alone how much subjective years in exile with Beryl and some few months of active villainy objective time, the Dark General was immune (for the most part) to the Sneeze Effect.
Back at the fight, it was looking bad. Ryouga was steering Ranma, it was increasingly obvious, yet the martial artist couldn't do anything about it, since Ryouga was already in a murderous rage and any attempts to just leave would put innocents at risk. Ryouga finally allowed a single retreat hole after about half a hour of this, by which time they had battled across the area and thru a University. As he jumped down from the odd structure they'd wound up atop, Ranma couldn't help saying "That was a odd shot, piggy. Why'd you angle that Shit, Shit, Hokey-Dan you keep calling out away instead of straight up? Gaining a survival instinct?" He was frankly kinda ticked off in his own right after that needless chase and it showed.
Ryouga grinned as the 'missed shot' started coming down, jumping down with the structure between him and Ranma as he finally spoke. In a odd voice, the Lost Soul said "Looks like master was absolutely right! All it takes is being indirect, and you'll walk right into it! Hope you like a charge, you rapist asshole! Trying to get the Dojo sign, my eye, rapist assholes.."
He ran off then, as Ranma was frozen, skin turned red from humiliation that this Akane had either mouthed off nonsense on his being a Dojo Destroyer or one of Ami's enemies lied to Ryouga about the young martial artist.. turning him into the very liability Ranma so hated the idea of being! Or both, Kami know my luck's that bad..
Then the focused Shi Shi Hokoudan fell.. and sank INTO the earth and concrete before detonating the containment ring of the Cyclotron the university boasted! Before whatever of Metallia was aware could dig out the victory fans over Ranma imminent weakness and suicide (the latter to avoid dying of radiation poisoning and cancer), Fate decided to do a whoopsie.
Traces of the powerful attack actually flooded INTO the chamber, and they had just fired powerful atomic ions into the atom-smasher. between that and the dust from the fracturing ring, a thermal bloom made for a explosion that hurled Ranma clear, save for a single burst of extremely energised Chi and radiation.
As this Cosmically-energised life energy raged thru Ranma, he cursed all medical necessity, then angled himself to carom off and leap from wall to wall and land in the university fountain a block and a half over, never coming close enough to risk contaminating anyone. Great-Grandfather dying in Nagasaki wasn't enough? Sheesh! was the only though in Ranma's mind (aside from various long-pork recipes starring that homicidal moron). He wasn't a straight-A student like Juku Bomber Ami, but as a Japanese man and child of physicians, he'd picked up (mostly from enviromental saturation of the info) on the horrors of radiation poisoning and the consequences of the atomic bombings at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
So he knew to hit the water some ways away, and even as he became soaked, Ranma stripped. All the way down. Holding his breath until the rumble was gone and the most obvious outpouring of radiation had (hopefully) subsided, Ranma then resurfaced and ran off, his indignation and sheer terror at being near a radiation incident causing a instinctive burst of insane speed. Just as well, as at least he wasn't spotted streaking across the countryside.
And as he ran, the Cosmic Rays this whole mess had created latched onto his genes, finding and ingniting his potential for the Fantastic...
