All of this would have made her a unique sight in the eyes of the people of Little Whinging (and specifically a 'freakish wog' in the eyes of Mister & Missus Dursley), but her clothing was just as outlandish.
She was dressed in a dark-blue kimono with a snowflake pattern and a large, light-blue bow, a pair of white, split-toed socks (called tabi), and a pair of wooden sandals with vertical slats on the soles (called geta).
All in all, she was not the sort of girl that Vernon or Petunia Dursley would want seen at their house. (Dudley was another story. Somehow, though he had absorbed the lessons about hating magic, hating pretty girls for looking a bit exotic went right passed him.)
Fortunately, none of the Dursleys were present at the moment, as they were off to the beach for the weekend.
This fact was known to the girl walking toward Number Four, and specifically to the garden behind it, but she really didn't care. What did matter to her was that they had, as usual, left a young man named Harry Potter behind to watch the house, with orders to weed the back garden.
Calmly, she walked around the side of the house, stepped out of her geta, knelt in the grass, placing her mirror (the traditional Japanese woman's equivalent of a wand - cherrywood, silver and quartz, with a core of Yuki-onna hair, in this case) in front of her, with her hands flat on the ground before her knees, and bowed until her forehead touched her hands. She held this position, waiting for her new master to aknowledge her presense.
Harry looked up from his weeding, and was rather startled by this vision kneeling in the grass by his aunt's back garden.
"What the- who- who're you!?" he asked.
"Aruji-sama, watakushi ha Ayamami Rei to moushimasu. Anata no shimobe ni gozaimasu," she replied.
