Lamp Of Mihoshi: The New Moon Kingdom: Pluto's Surprise, and the Party is Formed [Episode 130794]

by Mister-E

The being growled at it stared at it's opponent. It's staff of metal smacked the offending offender on it's side. Then again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

Once more for good measure.

It's opponent, a Gate through time and space stared back with a blue screen with the following in white letters.

Time Gate Critical Failure.

Attempting to Reboot.

Please Stand By.

"Damned gate!" Sailor Pluto, the being in question shouting at the offending gate. "Fifth Time this week I got the Blue Screen of Death!" It didn't help matters that it was only Tuesday either.

She gave it another smack with her staff, the BSoD (Blue Screen of Death) faded away. She relaxed as the gate began to focus.

Then her jaw dropped. There was Tokyo. Which was all well and good.

Except she should be looking at CRYSTAL Tokyo.

It was gone.

Not there.

Not present.

Missing.

Packed it's bags and left.

She paused in her search as she got a good look at the Moon.

She stopped and blinked. It was... was...

Like the Moon Kingdom was never gone.

She could even from her view, above the buildings of the city, she could make out fields of green, lakes of blue, polar caps of white snow...

With a wave of her hand she changed her view to Mercury. Snow sprinkled down gently across the planet, winter lasting nearly three quarters of the year. Moving her view closer she could she children skating over frozen lakes as their mothers watched on.

And as she changed views to each planet it reminded her more and more of the Moon Kingdom.

Venus's oceans as travellers and local alike tanned on the sunny beaches.

The Moon Palace, changed but standing with all it's glory as within it's walls an old sage taught the art of magic to new students.

Armies of soldiers of the Moon Kingdom marching down on a base on Mars, marching with swords, spears, shields and rifle-like weapons, practicing for an upcoming parade.

Farmers tilling the fertile soil of Jupiter, planting the fruits, vegetables and nuts that would feed the Kingdom, hay being made to feed cattle and corn seeds harvested to feed chickens.

On Saturn tools and household items were crafted with care and precision.

On Uranus engineers ran various plans and designs of airships by each other, as they pointed at various points of a ship's grand engine.

And on Neptune musicians bowed as their performance ended, the audience calling for an encore.

It took her a few moments to collect her thoughts.

Once she was done she dragged over her chair, a big bale of popcorn and a giant soda.

She had a lot of viewing to do to find out what just happened.

Lady Koto stood from her chair as a one of the Venusian Lords walked in. She straightened her red and grey robes out, her hair orange with streaks of blonde held in a bun above her head and trained her chestnut eyes on the man. "Lord Roy, you bring the Sword with you. Does then mean our council has come to a decision?"

The man, standing five inches above the 5'5 Martian nodded. His tight leather pants hugging his lower body tightly, his loose golden shirt hanging off his chiselled and tanned body and gauntlets on his arm from knuckle to elbow, his shaggy blonde hair framing a handsome face with blue eyes. Koto had to admit he was a perfect example of a Venusian man. Roy stepped forward placing his bundle on the table, unwrapping the Crescent Moon Sword from the blanket he carried it in.

"Yes. We are sending a small party down, you and myself as well as Lady Nino and Lords Kent and... Sain."

Koto nodded for a moment. Kent wore red armour instead of the green colours associated with Jupierians. At six feet with brown hair he was the commander of Jupiter's 5th Division. His second in command was Sain, who stood at 5'11 and held his red hair held back by a green head band. He wore an armour of bright greens as most of Jupiter's armies did. The two men despite being friends and co-workers were opposites.

Kent was serious to a fault. Sain was a ladies man.

Kent's weapon's of choice were his sword and shield.

Sain preferred his lance.

Kent's fighting style was to study his opponent and seek an opening. Sain was aggressive, often going for the first blow.

Yet put the two against any foe and they could work together as if they knew what the other was thinking.

Lord Roy was an unarmed fighter, his gauntlets protecting his fists and adding damage to his foes. He was surprisingly skilled, for a man who often wore a grin on his face and flirted with woman.

Lady Nino was an odd choice for a party of this kind however. She was a rather powerful magic user for her age as well as having unique insights in to the way magic worked. At 5'3 with a mop of short green hair the petite and childish Nino was a powerful addition, but she might attract unneeded attentions with her antics. Still the Saturnian native could cast spells of ice, water, wind, thunder and fire equally well.

And as for herself, Lady Koto was a priestess with powerful healing spells and fire spells. She also trained under a master of earth magic on Uranus. Lady Koto's earth based spells while not as powerful as her fire-based spells were still useful.

Each member had faced against wandering monsters and demons that seemed to find the New Moon Kingdom on occasion, even Nino had defeated a pair in her time. Yet they were a nation while prepared for a war hadn't fought in one for ten thousand years.

Ten. Thousand. Years.

Lady Koto was rightfully worried, she didn't know how the demons they fought ranked with any other foe that may have existed. All they could do was trust it their training and each other. Lady Koto took the sheathed sword on the desk in her hands, bringing it close to her body. "We should go as soon as possible, we have no idea of what we may find on Earth. Have we a capable ship?"

Roy nodded and brushed a hand through his hair. "Yup, we have the Solar Ring ready and prepped."

"The Flagship? Who pulled the strings for that?"

"I did, but telling Captain Donovan we needed a ship capable of casting an illusion over itself to find our King wasn't much of a pull."

"Regardless it's good to know we have the best ship in the fleet at our disposal. Gather Kent, Sain and Nino, we leave immedatly."

"I'm on it Lady Koto."
