Dungeon Keeper: Imp Maker [Episode 130964]

by PsyckoSama

"Yes, now, where do we begin," the shade began, "yes… first I should tell you what it is to be a keeper, but while important, that can wait for there are more pressing matters."

Seras blinked, "Like what?"

The voice laughed. "Getting you out of here of course, 'Kitten'. This location is baren of gold and totally unsuited for dungeon construction."

"Don't call me that!" Seras sneered. She was not going to let some screw up ghost call her by that name. It brought back bad memories.

"Aren’t you?" he laughed once again, "You are a young woman who doesn't seem to even understand her vamperic gifts who now has the power of a dark mistress. Most of those who have power such as yours spend years mastering the Dark Arts needed to become a master. You are a little fledgling, a Kitten into the pit and given a short cut by a desperate demon. Until you prove that you have what it takes to be a Dungeon Keeper, you're just a little Kitten."

"Then why are you helping me?"

"I already told you, Kitten. I have agreed to become your advisor simply because you are interesting. Someone saw it fit to turn you and I can sense that your sire was an old and powerful vampire. You don't seem like a pleasure slave, so you probably have some miniscule level of potential for your sire to bother. Either way, this could be amusing…"

"If you need something dead, I'll be in the other room…" Horny snorted and exited the room, leaving a very annoyed Seras and a very amused advisor.

"What was that all about?" Seras asked herself.

"He's a Horned Reaper. His kind possesses an unstable temperament and a one track mind. To him the worst part of his imprisonment here has not been isolation or loneliness, but the utter lack of mindless bloodshed and slaughter."

Seras rolled he eyes. "Great just what I bloody need…"

"Now, lets get down to business… First you will need a way out of this little pit and move your heart to a location that’s more suitable, and thus, you must learn how to create an Imp. With this imp you will be able to dig a tunnel to the surface, escaping this subterranean tomb and allowing you to move your Dungeon Heart to a far more suitable location."

"What the bloody hell is an Imp?"

"By all that is unholy, she's useless…"

"You're the advisor, its your job to tell me."

"Very well, you do make a valid argument... Imps my dear, are the poor oppressed, down trodden cogs that will keep the machinery of your dungeon running smoothly. As nothing more than magically created and sustained homunculus, your imps are totally dependent on you to exist. In essence, to an Imp, their Keeper is nothing less than God. It is your will that brings them into existence, your power that sustains them, and if they should displease you, you are more than capable of ripping their pathetic little souls asunder and siphoning back a portion of the energy you used to create them."

Seras blanched.

"Really, if you are to survive, you must learn to retain your control. After all, the world is not all songs and happy bunnies… its more… the screams of dying innocents and plump trench rats, gorged on the flesh of fallen heroes…"

Seras rolled her eyes. She knew the worlds had a dark underbelly, but it wasn't that bad.

"Just shut up and tell me how to create a damn imp so I can get out of here!"

"What was that? Some backbone? If I still had nipples, they would be absolutely tingling. Of course then, Keeper, You must focus your energies, let your power flow though you and your instincts as a Keeper be your guide…"

"Fine…"

Seras breathed deeply and felt the power that was now hers by right build up inside her.

"Very good, you seem to be a natural… now repeat after me, retaining your focus… Impious Acturia"

"Impious Acturia!"

Before Victoria a small, somewhat cute in a strange sort of way, creature with large animated black eyes and almost super deformed proportions popped into existence. In its hands it held a small pickax and it was looking at Seras with a mix of apprehension and awe.

Seras blinked and after a moment of adjustment, smiled at the little creature. "Aren’t you a strange little fellow."

She slowly walked over to the creature and held out her hand.. The Imp stepped back, bracing its self for what it knew was the inevitable slap, but was surprised when she only stood in place. Slowly it approached its creator and was rewarded with a pat on the head.

"Do you have a name?" Victoria asked the small magical construct.

"Me name Snivit," the Imp replied nervously, "Me no in trouble?"

"No, you're not in trouble. I am Seras Victoria, and I guess I am your master."

The imp nodded slowly, "Me understand Miss Keeper Victoria." It smiled, "You nice!"

Victoria smiled radiantly at the little creature. "You are a cute little bugger."

Behind her the shade groaned. "How disgustingly cute."

"So what do Imps like you do?" she asked.

"Well… me dig good, can mine gold, me move things fast, claim ground, anything Nice Miss Keeper Victoria want!"

The Vampire blinked. "Claim land?"

It nodded. "Me claim land good! Me claim land for Keeper so she become strong-strong in Magic!" it paused for a moment and smile "Me will claim all land in place for Keeper! Me claim much land to make Keeper strong!"

"Very well, but once you're done claiming the land here, I need you to dig me a tunnel to the surface." Seras stated in the stern tone which she usually associated with Lady Integra.

In slowly nodded. "Claim land here, dig tunnel to surface! Me understand!"

The small creature bolted off ranting to its self… "Me dig nice tunnel, with good steps so Keeper no slip! Me got good Keeper! Me work hard for Keeper"

"Ahem," the Advisor interrupted, "Now that that sickening display of saccharin is over, let us continue…"
