However, it was a rather annoyed Senshi that was having to say things at the moment. Her brother had left on some quest to go protect her again, which she had not liked at all. She loved him dearly, but the idea of him always coming to the rescue had a downside. There had been times when he'd come close to overreacting before, and with his recent 'trip', he'd gone and put him into positions that had her worrying so much that she couldn't sleep. It wasn't bad enough when he kept on pushing him, so he had to do this to her, when she was perfectly capable of protecting him for once.
She wasn't usually the emotional sort, but he'd managed to top his usual 'stunts'.
"Oh, this is just my overprotective brother, who can only be bothered to think to come when there's a fight, even if his sister is constantly worried about him," Mercury said tartly.
"Ami..," Thor began, realising that this was not going according to plan.
"Don't you start. When you started trying to break boards on your own, you made me nervous, but you just left! You don't call, you don't write... Nothing!"
"Uhh... Mercury?" Mars put in, "Isn't your brother a bit... shorter? And with different colored hair?"
"He used to be, but somehow he did this to himself. It'll probably be some sort of major problem."
"So you're saying that this is Ranma?"
"Most definately. I gave him that CD player myself, and he's the only one that uses it. I made sure that it would be special for just us."
Moon's eyes went wide. "Really? Wow... He's gotten... big... But what does this mean?"
"It means that Mom and I will have to check him out, and maybe even take care of him..."
"What is it?"
Mercury looked over the faces of her friends and found herself acting in a mix of mischevious delight and pure exasperation before she thought. "Of course, I could do with help, but you have to think, who else can handle this lunk? If only someone I knew and trusted could were to 'take care of him'..."
For a moment, blank looks came back at her, but Jupiter and Venus were the first to realise the possibilities of that statement, at least shown by their expressions. The other girls considered the idea that their smart friend might actually welcome attentions heading towards her brother, and seemed to think about what they could do about that while:
