Strange Pokemon: Heart to Heart Talk [Episode 131385]

by Disruptor

Walking along the road to Viridian city, Ash opened up his Pokedex and called up Supergirl's entry.

"Supergirl. This Steel/Flying Pokemon comes from another dimension and is quite powerful. Details about this Pokemon is unknown."

Ash frowned a bit, as he pressed a few buttons.

"Steel Pokemon: Immune to Poison. Weak to Fire, Ground, and Fighting moves. Standard damage from Electric and Water moves. Resistant to all else."

Ash smiled. "Supergirl, I promise I'll try to be the best Trainer in the world for you. I guess I need something strong against Fire and Fighting. Ground isn't a problem, since she's also Flying."

Ash looked up and saw a Pidgey. He shook his head and started walking.

"I need a Pokemon that can handle her weaknesses," Ash muttered, as he walked near a pond.

Ash looked at the pond and smiled. "A Water Pokemon would do it for Fire. I also get something good against Ground. I don't have a fishing pole, so...."

Ash hunted around near the shore bank and found a large tennis racket that had the strings removed and replaced with a plastic oval. He also found a log large enough to ride on. Ash pushed the log into the lake and used the racket to start paddling. Soon he was in the middle of the lake. He waited a bit to see if there was any Pokemon curious enough to investigate. Sure enough, a blue Pokemon with a spiral on its front came up.

Ash quickly got a reading off of it. "Poliwag: The Tadpole Pokemon. This Water Pokemon is very playful. It evolves into Poliwhirl and with the use of a Water Stone into Poliwrath."

Ash tossed his special Pokeball. "Supergirl, go!"

Supergirl appeared in a flash of white light, as she was released from the Pokeball. The Kryptonian turned Pokemon looked down at Ash and the Poliwag.

Ash pointed at the Poliwag. "I'm trying to capture this Pokemon

Supergirl saw the small Pokemon looking up at her. The Poliwag fired a bubblebeam that hit Kara in the stomach. She fell a bit, before righting herself.

She muttered to herself, "That confirms that. Every Pokemon here has magic backing them. I felt that."

"Supergirl! Icy Wind!"

Kara blinked as a part of her mind became crystal clear. "Ah, he wants me to use my Ice Breath."

Supergirl sent a blast of arctic wind towards the Poliwag. She was shocked when it didn't seem to do as much as she thought it would. She dodged another spray of Bubbles, as Ash tossed a Pokeball at the Poliwag. In a flash of light, the Poliwag was pulled inside the ball. After a bit of bobbing, the red light on the Pokeball went out and the a mechanical locking sound was heard. Ash paddled over to the floating ball and scooped it out of the water.

"All right, I have a Poliwag."

After Ash returned to the shore, Supergirl landed beside him and waited. Ash released Poliwag and addressed it.

"Welcom to the team, Poliwag."

Ash introduced himself and Supergirl. He even explained about Supergirl and got a funny look on his face.

"Supergirl? Kara? Why did you agree to become my Pokemon so readily?"

Supergirl sat down with her back to a tree and let out a long sigh.

"Quite a few reasons. I used my senses to see how this world works. Your people have formed a symbiotic reationship with Pokemon and use them to do the work of tools. Construction, police work, and so on. I'm a hands-on sort of girl. I feel the need to get my own hands dirty. Being a Pokemon, allows me to do that. Next, I am vulnerable to being captured by Pokeballs. By already having a Trainer, I remove that weakness. Professor Oak was right, my powers have changed. I need to get a handle on how I've changed. After I do that, I want to find a way back to my home."

Ash asked, "You intend to leave later?"

Supergirl nodded. "Yes, but not right now. I intend to help you out as your Pokemon, until I figure out a way home with my altered powers. Until then, this is just a vacation for me."

"Vacation?"

Kara smiled. "I don't have to save the world from destruction here. No super-villians that the cops aren't able to handle to deal with it, just a world of fighting matches."

The Poliwag started talking in Pokespeech. Kara answered it in the same way, leaving Ash out of the conversation. Kara nodded, as she finished her talk to the Pokemon.

"That's weird," Ash said. "They way you did that."

Kara gave a wry grin. "It's weird being stored inside a ball. I hope you don't mind why I chose to stay with you."

Ash shook his head. "No. I will miss you, when you leave."

Supergirl, laughing, replied, "Hopefully, you'll have more than a full crew by the time I leave. That way, my leaving won't cripple your team."

Elsewhere a man wearing a midnight blue suit, cloak and fedora and stared in the direction of the trio.

"Later, I'll tell you what happened Kara, but not right now. Later, after you've formed an attachment to this world."

With that the man turned with a swirl of his cape and vanished.
