Shampoo knew that she had to be careful. This Challenger was extremely strange. He had some kind of skill or power. Something that made him as stretchy as that gum stuff the village gained from time to time. That was making him a skilled fighter. Her usual fighting style seemed to be having trouble countering his rubbery nature.
'I must figure out a way to knock him off the log. But my blows just bounce off him. Or at least my currently weapons due. Perhaps if I change the weapon.' Shampoo said, as she prepared. She dropped her maces and picked up her pride. The sword that had been past down her family line. She moved into a defencive moves. The blade glinted in the sun as she prepared to fight. The Challenger looked nervous now as she held her blade. 'Perhaps I have found a weakness.'
Shampoo charged the young man, her sword in a motion to cut him. Only to have him bend out of the way, like taffy. His body moved in a U shape to avoid the hit. Shampoo smiled as she noticed his aversion to the blade. Then she pressed on. Her sword attacks were swift and steady. But with each attack, the man bent out of the way. He was quick as well, but she had to keep it up. He was bound to slip up.
Then it occurred. The tip of her blade touched the side of her opponent. A single line of crimson cross the body where she had hit. The boy winced in pain. 'So he does have a weakness. Now to press my attack.'
Moments later...
Shampoo was beginning to tire again. The battle seemed to be drawing to a tie. She had, over time, gotten him with her blade. But only with the tip of the blade. But all of that pain and suffering was also getting to him as he was slowing down as well. Trying to catch his breath, he was standing across from her smiling at the fight that they were having.
Shampoo decided on one last ditch effort. She moved her sword into the strike form and then let loose with an overhead slash. Only to have the challenger leap from the log. 'Have I won?' Thought Shampoo as she tried to pulled the sword out of the wood. Only to have it sealed in the log. It was stuck firm from the strength of Shampoo's blow. She was so focused on the blade that she almost didn't notice the feeling that she had behind her.
Shampoo turned around, only to look at the face of her opponent. Smiling that smile that told her that he was about to try something. He spoke in a language that was gibberish. He then launched a a fury of blows at her that was to knock her off the log. She feel to the ground below. She had lost.
One of her fellow sisters cried out the results. "Winner is the Challenger." It was then that Shampoo remembered the laws of the tribe. She had been defeated by an outsider male. He had proved himself worthy of an Amazon bride. Even with his strange power. She didn't know where that power had come from, but his training with it was well-done. She knew what she had to do.
As he stepped down from the log to stand before her, she went up to him. She then glomped on to him and kissed him on the lips. Then she spoke the words, "Wo Ai Ni!"
