Behind Asteroid 3 Juno, Near Earth Orbit, Evangelion Earth
On the side opposite Earth was a sight anyone familiar with either Robotech or Super Demensional Fortress Macross could instantly identify - a Macross-Class Battlefortress, painted a grayish silver.
Siting on the bridge in the ship's 'Big Chair' was also someone many might recognize, if puzzle over a few changed features. It was none-other than this universe's former superwuss Shinji 'Blue Balls' Ikari.
At one of the bridge stations, which seemed to have been lifted straight off the starship Voyager, a woman with lavender hair spoke up.
"Captain, the Sulabon cloaking device has been successfully installed. Do you wish to begin the operation?"
The 'boy' in the seat grinned and said, "Make it so, Ruki."
The attractive BU-33S responded with an "Aye, Sir" and sent a signal to the engineering section.
In space, the ship wavered momentarily before totally disappearing from optical vision and any sensors the comparitively primitive world that was their destination could field. It advanced on contra-grav engines to the small, blue planet.
Another crew member, a male this time, made himself known. "Sir, it is as previously estimated. It has been only three local days since your departure from your home universe, as accorded by your memories and planetary transmission sources."
He nodded. I'll have to think Washu-sensei for teaching me how to calculate transdemensional chronotics nest time I see her.
It hadn't been easy getting 'home'. With all the different universes he'd been to, he wondered if one of them couldn't be more worthy of the title. Surely the New Galactic Republic and pre-overthrow Systems Commonwealth were more pleasant. Hell, even Rifts Earth's Lazlo was more welcoming than his home plane of existence.
I should have learned my lesson the last time I played poker with Ranma's buddies. Losing my reconstructed DeLorean to Setsuna was bad enough, and having some of my Reflex nukes taken by Ranma was worse. But then I lost that bet to the Boss in the final hand! "You still have unfinished business there. And since you agreed to do so if I won, it's time to clean that mess up." Well, let's get this shit over with.
