When there was no response, Asuka continued, "It took me a while to find you due to some... difficulties," she hoped leaving it vague would have Wondergirl fill in the blanks for her, "but I've finally arrived and operating at 100%!" She tried to sound jovial, but wasn't sure HOW she could sound anything near happy with the current situation.
"So, why don't you relax for now? The Third Child should be able to take care of this. We can ask to find some place to watch the fight." Asuka was curious about this near legendary 'first sortie' and wanted to see 'first person' how it went. All she knew was that he beat the Angel, and she was curious how someone with no experience piloting an Eva managed that.
