Like all Kuno family members, and to a lesser extent much of Nerima, she carried a genetic legacy - an imbalance in the brain chemistry that caused her behavior to be a bit... shall we say just a touch obsessive and delusional?
Upon finding out that her Ranma-sama was enchanted as a sleeping prince who needed to be awakened by a kiss - she was all for it!
She got a later start than her brother because her first attempt to storm the castle had ended with her leotard snagged on one of the thorny vines - revealing that they were razor sharp and coated with a sleep venom.
After waking up and collecting a few samples for later experimentation, Kodachi did something that few would have expected her to do. She got help.
Oh, admittedly she thought of them as underlings. Minor minions of the Rhythmic Gymnastics team. She'd rationalized it to some of the more competent, and therefore allowed to question her rationale, as some serious training to be had as well as the old esprit de corps.
It was only her own experiences with various odd chemical concoctions that allowed her to recover as quickly and with as minimal side effects as she had. As had been her discovery when a number of the girls from Saint Hebereke's School For Girls' Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics Team had fallen to those thorns.
Which had still managed to let her get as far as the kitchen.
"A talking teapot?" Kodachi exclaimed on finding such.
"Oh my yes," said a nice blue and white ceramic teapot named Kasumi. "Have you met Yuka and Sayuri?"
"Hello," said one teacup.
"I've, uhm, heard a lot about you," said the other teacup.
Kodachi blinked and began to wonder if she was having a late effect from one of her experiments in black lotus distillate. "How?!"
"I'm afraid little Akane has gone on a guilt trip. It was her wish that caused this all to occur, now she's a dragon and turned me into a teapot." The teapot seemed relatively cheerful for all that.
"We came by after seeing the castle rearing up," said Yuka. (Or was it Sayuri? The cups were identical after all.)
"We wanted to see how Akane was doing and offer at least emotional support," said the other teacup. "I haven't seen her this bad since the last time she forgot to take her Midol and she'd gotten her little purple helper wedged... oh sorry. I'm a little out of sorts or I wouldn't have mentioned that."
"Yes," said Kodachi, rubbing her forehead. "That is rather too much information. Well, the noise has stopped, so I'll just go off and rescue Ranma-sama now."
The door to the kitchen swung shut as the gymnast left.
"RRrrrrrrrraggghhhhhhhhH!"
"Eeeeeeeek! Back beast! I must rescue my Ranma-sama!"
"I have the perfect place for you, Kodachi!"
Kasumi shook her body as the sound of Akane's transformation attack went off.
Yuka and Sayuri cracked the door open enough to see that Kodachi was the house's new talking
