Tatewaki Kuno was going home after a profitable school day when an advertisement flyer came by and stuck to his face, blinding him from the treacherous assault of that chinese peasant's bicycle. He managed to stand up a few moments later, the okonomiyaki chef and the chinese prestigiditator adding insult to injury by stomping on his august person !
He ripped the flyer from his face and read it, out of curiosity. His face contorted in anger and he crushed the paper in his hands.
"So the foul sorceror Saotome has hatched a new fiendish plan to bring innocent maidens to him ! This 'sleeping prince' act is obviously a dark plot to attract young flowers of nobility and royalty in his lair and corrupt them, in order to make them slaves to his inhuman perversions !" Kuno raised his bokken high and took a righteous pose "Curse you Saotome ! The beauteous Akane Tendo and the pig-tailed girl are not enough for you now ?"
In his mind's eye, he could see them chained and helpless near the bed of the most vile enchanter, pleading for someone to save them from a fate worse than death "Fear not, my loves ! The blue thunder of Furinkan High will save thee from the foul Ranma Saotome !"
Kuno ran to his ancestral home. A few minutes later, he emerged clad in an ancient samurai armor and wielding his family's ancestral blade, his faithful ninja retainer at his side "Come, Sasuke ! We will go to the sorceror Saotome's resting place and vanquish his evil once and for all, freeing my beloveds from enslavement !" Sasuke, carrying a huge mass of equipment for his size, miserably nodded "Hai, Tatewaki-sama..."

Things had not exactly gone as planned for the blue thunder.
First, he had to fight his way through the vines who had been given a life of their own thanks to Saotome's black magic. Sasuke had fallen in a devious trap (he had been captured by a crying carpet) and was transformed into a talking and moving broom.
Still it wasn't enough to deter Tatewaki Kuno, a true samurai, from his quest "I fight on !" Animated weapons of all sorts (from the former dojo) attacked him but he sent them running ! Flying lingerie tried to strangle him but they were no match for his righteous blade !
Finally, he found the bedchambers where the foul sorceror slept. He went to him and prepared to strike.
"And just what do you think you are doing to MY RANMA !?" Kuno blinked. It was deeper and distorted but he recognized the voice of the pure and innocent akane Tendo. He turned slowly and was put face-to-face with an angry red dragon.
"Oh, the tragedy !" Kuno wept tears of sadness as he understood the situation "The sweet Akane Tendo has been turned into a most evil beast by Saotome's dark powers ! Do not fret, my love ! I shall kill the foul sorceror and free you from this evil enchantment !"
Akane reacted poorly to being called a 'most evil beast' and torched Kuno with her flaming breath. The smoking and charred form of Tatewaki Kuno collapsed "That... didn't hurt..."
Akane's eyes flashed once more with the power of the 'sleeping beauty' curse. Tatewaki Kuno rose, a dark and twisted mockery of his normal self (scary, isn't it ?). Now, there was a new guardian standing in the way of any would-be rescuer.
Kuno hadn't been the only one to enter the Tendo castle. Others were discovering that the place was full of traps and monsters.
