Genma had been looking for a master martial artist. To that point he headed out to the most remote places that he could think of. The first of these had been this hidden shrine. That's when the shit hit the fan. Genma was wandering, looking for the the shrine, when these men in black robes appeared around him. "Greetings, fellow traveller. Perhaps you can help us. We are looking for something that is to help us with our mission."
Genma stopped for a minute. "I am just a poor student, looking for an honourable master who would be able to help me with some training. As such I have little to offer you. But if I have something to help, I can try to help you out." Genma said, trying to be respectful.
"You do have something that we want. And you will give it to us. No matter your choice." The figure in the black robe who had talked to him first. Suddenly, the robes were removed. Horrible demonic creature were now revealed before the young student. Blocking him in. "We will have your spirit!" The head demon roared as it lunged after Genma. Genma dodge, only to be attack on another side by a second demon. Then a third attack him from behind, while a fourth attacked in front of him. I was an unfair fight. Till the old man appeared in front of him.
The demons turned to look at the old man. "Demon, be gone. Or face the wraith of Tso Wang." The man was a short figure, the size of a child. He had a long flowing beard and glowing blue eyes. He leaned on an old staff. One his head was a straw hat, like a traditional Chinese hat. The demons laughed at the old man.
"Old man, we are the D'kranl demons and the likes of you can not defeat us." The head demon then turned his attack on to the old man. Summoning a ball of flame the size of a man's head. Then the fireball shot to the old man. The old man stood his ground as the ball of flame moved towards him. Only to have it clash against a shield of light in front of the old man.
The old man smiled a near toothless smile. "My turn." The old man held his staff in the air and a ball of light developed from the tip of it. Then he swung the staff down as the light energy flew from the staff, hitting the demon.With a burst of searing light, the demon vanished. The other demons looked at the horror of this fact and decided that it might be best if they were elsewhere. They vanished in bursts of flames.
Genma stared at the power of the man that had saved him. The little man hopped over to Genma. "I am Tso Wang, Master of the Mystical School of All Magics. I hope that I have helped you. Is there anything else that you need?"
"No, sensei. But what is the School of All Magics? I have not heard about it before." Genma asked.
"It is a path of magic which seeks wisdom from many traditions and styles of magic to build a collective source of magic. It is a hard path that requires hard work as you have to master body,mind and ki. You must balance negative magics, positive magic and the magic that lies on the edge of magic. You need great strength and control to master it, but it does grant you great power. Are you interested on being an apprentice?"
Genma thought for a moment. He had been thinking of trying a martial artist's path. But perhaps his path was different one. He moved to deep thought. Then had his answer.
