The wish had been made, and the mystical forces were beginning to move. It was decided that Genma would be the father. Yet Genma's life would be altered by the power to create a more noble father than the one that had been before. Genma had always been a man that could have been forged into anything. Genma had started on his martial arts journey to become a better, more powerful version of himself. To live up the the legacy of the father he had never known. He was a child filled with both good and negative qualities.
However, under Happosai, the good qualities were stumped and bent to serve the more negative elements of his soul. Intelligence, skills, creativity and physical power were made to serve greed, sloth, hunger and desire. The warping of the soul that a twisted soul like Happosai had inflicted on both his students, his ever lasting curse on them and their students.
But at one point, Genma had to find and choose to follow the ancient pervert. One single moment, a single choice. A point of fate that could change the tapestry of lives. So the magic did one single incantation to prevent that. It created an Omega class spell that would cause a repulsion field to build between them without noticing. Till Genma was a noble success, he would never be able to meet Happosai. The fabric of luck would bend to prevent that.
Meanwhile, Genma would be hunting a new master. While he was hoping to find a martial artist to study under, at this point in his life Genma was open to the other possibilities, if it would help him become a man that could be respected by the absent father of the young Saotome. To help this, the genie task force cast another spell that would cause Ranma to be attracted to a noble master. One that would make him a better man and therefore a better father. The question was what kind of master would Genma find to improve himself.
