This was not one of the usual Senshi meetings.
Since the fall of Galaxia the meetings were no longer used to meet up and discuss the threat at hand but to spend time with one another. Most meetings involved only the Inner Senshi and were held twice a week. At times one Senshi or another would call a meeting if something significant happened, like a new enemy or a recent attack.
This Senshi meeting however involved the Outers as well who tended to avoid the gatherings unless called.
And Setsuna, also known as Sailor Pluto the Senshi of Time, called it. That was enough to warrant the worry in the room, to the point that an unread manga lay on the table in front of both Rei and Usagi untouched.
“So... Where is she anyway?” Minako asked, turning her head to look at Haruka.
“Damned if I know.” The tomboy replied with a shrug. “Last I heard she said she had to check some odds and ends.”
“I just hope it’s not another enemy...” Usagi whined slightly. “I’m tired of fighting.”
“We all are.” Ami said softly. “But let’s not worry too much, we can’t always assume the worst.”
“Hey, everyone here?” A new voice called out as the door opened drawing everyone’s attention. “Oh, you are! Good, I thought I’d find you here.” The person said as she closed the door, ignoring the stares directed at her.
“Ch... Ch... Chibi-Usa!?” Usagi shirked.
“That’s me!” The girl smiled waving back to her mother (Or future mother, or mother to be. To Quote one Captain Janeway: Don’t bother trying to make sense of temporal physics) although this was not the eleven-year-old girl they were used to. She was taller, standing a mere two inches shorter than her mother, her waist long hair remained as it had been, but with red streaks dyed into it and a bust size that rivalled Makoto’s. Throw in a pink skirt that was too short in Usagi’s opinion (And not short enough in Haruka’s) a tight black t-shirt (With the words ‘Look Closer’ on the chest in pink) and high heels.
“You look... Older...” Hotaru remarked biting down a bit of jealousy at her friends improved looks.
“Sorry, but I’m not the Chibi-Usa you all knew.” The girl said. “For starts I dropped the ‘Chibi’ a year ago, back when--”
“Wait, wait, wait!” Rei said, waving her hands. “The Chibi-Usa we KNEW?”
“I’ll answer that one.” Came a new voice directly behind Rei, causing Usagi to jump slightly.
“Don’t DO THAT!” She cried out as Setsuna smiled.
“Recently there was a major change in the timeline. A Kingdom that was beyond view before is making a move. And the end result removes Crystal Tokyo.”
“A shadow empire is moving, Crystal Tokyo is no more and you’re smiling about it?” Haruka said, blinking. “I don’t get it.”
Smiling softly Setsuna brushed a stray tear away, the other Senshi looking on confused. “Because... It’s the Moon Kingdom.”
“WHAT!?” The group (Minus Usa and Setsuna) yelled out.
“The Kingdom died off thousands of years ago!” Makoto blurted out.
“Not quite it seems. There were a few survivors who had to fend off the remnants of Beryl’s forces.” Setsuna explain. “Among them a warrior named Tenma rose and began to lead the armies against the Youma. He succeeded, and helped rebuild the kingdom and was eventually named King himself.” Pausing for moment she looked down to the floor. “I never looked... I thought everything is gone. And by the time I did look again they had erected a disguise field to stay hidden. It wasn’t until the future changed and I looked past the field that I realized what had happened.”
“And the great freeze?” Usagi began nervously.
“Prevented. Without it there is no need for Crystal Tokyo.” Setsuna replied. “And the change in the future is only apparent now because the kingdom is looking for King Tenma’s reincarnation. And if the future I saw, the peaceful one where Billions don’t NEED to die because of the Great Freeze, can only come about if Tenma retakes the throne. And we should help him with that.”
“We should?” Haruka said blinking.
“Well we are the reincarnations of the old regime, we’ll be involved with them sooner or later anyway.”
“Point.”
“Let’s transform and get moving.” Setsuna added. “They have a cloaked ship that’s about to reach Tokyo, it’s best we make contact as soon as we can!”
“We’re holding above the city called Tokyo.” Donovan said as he looked at the view screen. “We haven’t been detected, near as we can tell. Any luck with your search Tommy?”
“Just finished, and we have a very likely hit.” He said, bringing a picture up at his workstation.
“Saotome, Ranma.” Lady Koto said as she looked over the science officer’s shoulder. “It’s amazing... He reminds me of the statue of Tenma in Deacon Park. This is HIM! It has to be!”
“Excellent!” Kent exclaimed, stepping closer to the priestess. “We can retrieve him at once and--”
“Hey, I’m picking up something...” Tommy said, tapping at his station. “Planetary Power?”
“Planetary Power?” Kent parroted. “Only the Lost Royalty could use that... The Senshi... Must be Earth’s!”
“Negative!” Tommy replied. “I have Mercury, Mars, Uranus... Two channelling the Moon... By the KING they’re all here!”
“The Lost Royalty was reborn as well!?” Lady Koto said tapping her chin. “This is amazing...”
“So what, pray tell, do we do about it?” Sain asked. “Could they lay claim to the throne, if they so choose?”
“No, it’s Tenma’s throne and Tenma’s Kingdom now.” Lady Koto replied, shaking her head. “Still, they and they’re memories live on today. We need to make contact! After all, even if they cannot lay claim to the throne they represent the powers of each planet! They could become very important to us.”
“And If I may humbly suggest...” Donovan began. “They were reincarnated here like the King! Surely they would have an easier time in locating his majesty than we. Enlisting their help would be useful.” He said, watching as Lady Koto mused over that piece of information.
