Tohru sighed.
He hadn’t meant to lose that book. Honestly, all he had wanted to do was to take his mother out for the day, and pick up a package that his Sensei had asked for him to pick up. It wasn’t his fault that some small girl had almost fallen off Tokyo Tower!
Being the good guy he was, he had rescued her just in the nick of time, only to both lose the book and have his mother scold him for scaring her half to death (all he did was catch her by the back of her shirt and set the child back on the deck)!
Now Uncle was trying everything in his power to try and track it down, and he wasn’t even speaking to him again!
Suddenly, the old man froze, shivering. “Uncle has the Willies!!!!”
Tohru jumped up. Beside him, Jade Chan, his small friend, did the same, as Jackie Chan, her Uncle, stumbled into the room!
“So, what is it this time? Shadowkhan? Demons? Ninja?” Jade chanted, exited to the extreme. It had been almost two years since the last major event, and this fourteen, almost fifteen year old girl was exited to the extreme! Sure, she had been learning some great martial arts stuff from Jackie, but still . . .
“Jade, calm down! The last evil demon was banished two years ago! There are no more . . . “
“Well hello there!” came a voice with a rough, Chinese accent!
Jade shrieked. Jackie yelped. Tohru made for his stash of onions.
Uncle, on the other hand, just yelled, “I am not coming back to your village, Old Hag! Begone!”
“Now, now, none of that!” chuckled the face of Cologne, peaking out of a portal in the wall, “You are looking quite well, for a shriveled old geezer.”
“And you look like a giant prune, Old Hag!”
Cologne laughed, “Nice try, though I’ve gotten used to that one. Still, this is more focused on business. My tribe forgot about you a while ago, and while some of us would like to see the blood of a student of the Great Master Wong in our tribe still, we’ve found better meat to focus on!”
On Uncle’s side, Jade, Jackie, and Tohru just stared as the old man asked, “Where is the oath?”
“By the goddesses Athena and Artemis, you have nothing to worry about from my tribe . . . though I wouldn’t mind taking a look at your niece, there. She feels like she has quite a bit of potential . . . “
“You will not touch my family!” Uncle snarled, his vehemence causing Tohru, Jackie, and Jade to back up in caution.
The image of the old woman’s face was about to say something, when another voice rang out, and a young, redheaded girl, older than Jade, stepped into the picture, “Kami, will you two stop that! Sheesh, never thought I’d hear someone argue like me and Akane do. What, did you two go out or something?”
Uncle’s face turned dark green as the old woman chuckled. “No, though I wouldn’t have minded at the time; he was a pretty good catch. He came to the village about thirty years ago, along with his master, Wong. My youngest daughter was quite smitten with him at the time, though Wong was smart enough to instruct his student in how NOT to get the Kiss of Marriage. They stopped in every now and then, and if it wasn’t for my dear Ku Xian getting caught and killed in the last major skirmish we had with a bunch of bandits, he might have joined the tribe willingly.”
“However, once that happened, I tried to push my next youngest on him, as he was becoming quite skilled, and I was becoming quite fond of the lad. He didn’t want any of it, and when several others joined in, using . . . less than honorable tactics, he ran off. All but I have lost track of him, and that is only because I’ve always considered him an honorary child of mine.”
The main members of the J Team blinked as Uncle stared at the Elder, and let out a small tear. “You . . . you really think that way, Elder?”
Cologne smiled softly. “Never stopped! I would have been honored to have you as part of my family, and I’ve checked in on you from time to time, using less noticeable techniques than this. Still, we are getting off topic . . . “
“True . . . “ the old man smiled for a moment, and then frowned. “Still, you will not mess with my family. You do not want to make Uncle angry!”
The old woman was about her mouth to retort, but the girl stepped in, “Enough! Look, How about I take a look at her when they get here. If I think she can be trainable, I’ll do my best to train her. Later on, if you can get the old guy’s permission, you can teach her some of your Whu Shu stuff. How’s that?”
Uncle was about to snap something off, but was surprised out of it when Cologne whirled around in shock and asked, “You’ll train HER?!? I thought you were against hitting girls?”
Ranma shook her head, “I’m against HITTING girls; training doesn’t always require punching people. I just can’t train Akane because then the Idiot Duo would try to arrange another marriage again, and then I’d have to fight off everyone else AND worry about how to fix everyone’s honor . . . “
As the redhead started looking glum, Uncle narrowed his eyes, and then jumped in shock, “AIyah! You have been to Jusenkyo?!?”
Ranma blinked as Cologne chuckled, “His fat fool of a father dragged them there for training. This is Ranma’s cursed form. Also due to his father, he has two legitimate engagements with two different groups AND has gained both the Kiss of Marriage and the Kiss of Death, though only the first is active. I’d take her up on her offer, by the way; when it comes to martial arts, no one is better than Ranma! In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she can give your nephew there a crash course in offensive ki techniques . . . “
Uncle and Jackie gaped at the blushing redhead, as Jade asked, “Ki? Jusenkyo? What are you guys talking about?”
Cologne chuckled. “All will be explained soon. Speaking of which, you may want to close up. Se-chan should be stopping by momentarily to pick you all up . . . “
“Aiyah! Not her!” Uncle yelped.
“Oh come, our last meeting wasn’t that bad, was it?” another voice rang out from behind them.
When all four Americans whirled around, they found a tall, green haired woman wearing a white and violet sailor fuku, with an extra short skirt. She was holding a long staff with an orb at the top. Beside her was another girl, short, with short purple hair, in the same outfit, save for the blue skirt she wore.
The three males in the room gawked at the duo, as Jade whispered excitedly, “No way . . . Uncle knows Sailor Pluto?!?”
