The four members of the J Team walked into the Chinese Restaurant. Pluto had teleported them right in front of it, and informed them that anything they said would be understood by everyone else, no matter what language they said it in.
As they walked in, Jade was talking to Saturn, trying to ignore a comment Setsuna had made concerning her past with Uncle ("You and Uncle did WHAT?!?). Saturn, on the other hand, was trying to answer her truthfully, but she was rather shy.
However, both girls froze in place as they entered. It wasn't the fact that the restaurant was empty. Nor was it the fact that the old woman they were talking to before was standing on a table, and still at eye level.
No, it was the fact that the redheaded girl they had seen in the image had just dumped a cup of hot tea over her head, becoming a rather handsome young man.
Both girls stared at him as if he were an oasis in the middle of the desert. He was hot, he was gorgeous, he was . . .
"Um, hi . . . "
He was talking to them!
Both girls eeped and dove behind Pluto, who, they realized, was the only one still standing aside from Uncle. Jackie and Tohru, upon seeing a girl change into a guy, had fainted.
Upon realizing what exactly they had witnessed, they heard Setsuna say, "Ranma had a run in months ago with Jusenkyo, the Curse Springs of Sorrow. Fall in a pool there, and you gain a water based curse that turns you into whatever drowned in the spring in the first place. Ranma fell into the Spring of Drowned Girl, while his father, who dragged him there in the first place, fell into the Spring of Drowned Panda. Hang around here long enough, and you'll find other victims of Jusenkyo."
Uncle, on the other hand, was just staring at the boy, or more specifically, what the boy had in his hand. "Aiyah! You have the book!"
Setsuna smirked, "Of course he has the book! Those things have a mind of their own, and tend to find their next owners on their own. Honestly, the odds of Tohru-san actually getting that book to you were microscopic, and all in all, I'm not really surprised that he ended up with that book!"
This caused Saturn to look up at her. "What do you mean, Pluto-mama? Didn't you know he'd end up with it?"
As Cologne raised an eyebrow, Ranma made a confused look, and Uncle whirled around, Pluto became . . . embarrassed. "Actually, the Time Gates don't really lock on that well to White Chi Mages; its some kind of safety mechanism . . . never got the specifics on it."
As the two Elders continued staring, joined by a surprised Saturn, she shrugged, "Honestly, the Gates aren't all powerful; anyone with a direct connection to pure Chi energy, whether light or dark, becomes invisible to me. In fact, I never even foresaw this meeting; we were supposed to come across Ranma five and a half years from now, not today."
"Wait, you mean I was going to meet you all?" Ranma yelped, having heard of the Senshi through Kasumi, the local Senshi fangirl. "Oh kami, Akane must have tried to kill me after that . . . "
"Actually, by that time, you had decided to go ronin and become a wanderer. Apparently, you got so fed up with the violence and chaos that, when someone nearly hurt Kasumi and Akane, you had forsworn martial arts period and your family name. With you becoming a pure pacifist, the Amazons had no reason to chase after you. By the time we met you, you had developed a way to heal using ki."
Both Cologne and Ranma gaped at the tall senshi, "Hey, that's not happening as of right now; you've already cleansed Akane of most of her anger, Nabiki of most of her greed, and Kasumi of most of her repressed resentment. Same goes with Shampoo and Ukyo. Keep it up, and you'll have the start of a great harem that may or may not break the record for White Mage Spouses . . .
"Harem?!?" Jade, Saturn, and, surprisingly, Jackie (who had just woken up) yelped.
Pluto rolled her eyes, "Look, the mechanics are beyond Ranma for now, so either I can explain it later, or you can ask him later," she gestured to Uncle, who shrugged nervously.
"White Chi Magic does strange things to one's aura, giving mage great stamina. One more thing: magic also makes its wielder very attractive to members of the opposite sex!"
Both girls gawked at the old man, and, as they turned to stare at Setsuna, recieved the reply of, "I've always made a point to meet up with any White Chi Mages that I've come across; they make the best lovers . . . "
At this, both girls turned to Ranma, who eeped and made to hide behind Tohru, who had just gotten up on his feet.
As Jackie scowled, defensive instincts rising to protect his 'innocent' niece, Pluto grabbed him and dragged him into a corner, followed by Cologne and Uncle, who dragged Tohru along with him. "Don't worry about Ranma; his father made a point to drag him away from schools before he learned too much. The only things he knows about sex is that babies come from it, and that guys seem obsessed about it; the mechanics he vaguely knows, and even then, most of it is from an ero-manga a friend of his passed to him seven months ago. He tore it up soon after looking at page three."
Cologne whirled around at this, gawking. "You have to be joking! Surely the boy knows more than that!"
Pluto rolled her eyes. "The first time Ranma saw a girl his age in the last three years of his training trip was when he fell into that Spring, gaining his curse. He has never attended a sex ed course; nor has he seen the full spiel of the Human Reproductive System yet. The closest thing anyone ever came to giving him the talk was when Kasumi-san told him about what happens during a woman's period, and that was that. Honestly, everyone just assumes that he knows this stuff, and someone really should give him the details. I recommend bringing him to Juuban; Tofu has set up shop their, and it wouldn't bother him too much to explain things to him . . .
Meanwhile, Ranma felt a shiver pass through his spine, but as he was being stared down by two teenage girls, he ignored it.
