There was only one thing Seras could think of to describe the scene before her.
"That is the biggest skull I have ever seen..."
Shaking her head, she took a more objective look. The skull in question was still kilometers away, and was obviously carved from the cliff face itself. A tremendous waterfall poured from the skulls mouth, leaving an altogether slightly disturbed vision. Dimly she could make out something behind the skull itself, implying that it might just be part of another structure. If it had been night, she might have made out more detail, but that was all she could tell during the day.
Closer too her, near the base of the cliff on which the skull rested, she could make out a town... and colored tents just outside of it.
A sudden feeling of dismay overtook her. There was nowhere on Earth like this. She'd have bloody well heard about a giant skull carved into a cliff! So, unless she was blown onto a movie set somewhere... she'd ended up a bit further from England than she'd hoped.
But there was also something else nagging at her... something tickling her senses that went beyond sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. Something was wrong, here. Something was... dying. That was the only word she could use for it. It was like everything was dying. Slowly... very slowly, like a cancer... but dying nonetheless. And that skull seemed to be a concentration of that sensation.
Seras took another moment to take stock of her own situation. She herself seemed to be fine... but she was dismayed to realize that she didn't have any weapons with her. She'd be forced into hand-to-hand if she needed to fight... at least, until she could get something better. Also, her uniform was in decent shape, a bit dirtied, but serviceable. Of course, it also tended to stand out, and at the moment, she suspected she needed to at least try to blend in.
Seras sighed. Once again, she found herself in over her head. As she started off toward the distant town, she mumbled to herself, "why does this stuff keep happening to me?"
