It was the very image of a quaint English village, seven hundred years ago.
"What the bloody hell is this place?" she hissed to herself.
"It's the town of Vasserbünde, m'lady," replied a fearful voice from behind her.
Seras slowly turned around, groveling behind her was a middle aged peasant woman.
"M'lady… what makes you think I'm a lady?" Seras asked.
The peasant shrunk back, and began to stammer a reply, "Cause you got them fine clothes an' are beautiful like you never had to work the fields…"
Seras smiled. "I'm no lady, but I am lost… this is the town of Vasserbünde… where is this town? What country…" she paused, "Hell, I'd be satisfied with the bloody continent!"
The peasant looked up confused, but slowly replied, "This is north of Nosgoth… We're just south of Coorhayen and ye can see the Lake of Tears to the south, an' Nupraptor's Retreat to the west…"
Seras smiled widely. She had no idea where the hell any of that was, but the woman tried.
"Thank you!"
The woman gasped and back up, a mask of horror coming to her face.
Seras quickly covered her teeth and stepped forward hesitantly. She had an idea how superstitious these medieval folk were and had a feeling that was not going to be pretty.
He held out her hand trying to calm the woman down, "Now listen, I am not going to hurt you…"
"No! I an't ever done nothin' to you!" the woman cried, in sheer terror, attracting a great deal of attention, "Don't come near me! I saw your teeth! I don't want to die!"
She turned around and began running, "Vampire! VAMPIRE!"
Seras sighed deeply and shook her head. "Bloody wonderful…"
Seras jumped to the side, warned by her super human sense as a guard attempted to impale her from behind. She grabbed the spear out of the human's hands and gave him a relatively gentle kick to the chest. Relatively meaning it was only enough to send him flying and dent his breast plate rather than killing him outright.
"I don't want a fight," she hissed, unconsciously baring her fangs in a threatening display.
"You're not going to hurt anyone here, monster," one of the guards that was bunching around her.
She shook her head, "I don't want to hurt anyone!"
"Lying demon!" Roared another as he charged her with a sword and shield.
Seras sighed and side stepped him, slamming the blunt end of the spear into the small of his back. The guard screamed in agony and fell to the ground.
"Can we stop…"
Seras was cut off as someone in a building above her threw a bucket of foul water down upon her.
"ARGH!" she cried in both anger and disgust, "What the hell is this!? You can't beat me so you give my a bloody bath?!"
As one, all the guards backed up in fear.
"Water doesn’t burn her!" shreaked one of them.
"Bah!" exclaimed another, "More just use more water."
Seras gagged as another bucket full was throw on her from another window.
She stormed up onto the guard who had ordered her bucketed the second time, threw his allies to the side, and lifted him by the neck.
"What the bloody hell do I look like? A HOUSE PLANT?!"
She snarled and threw the man into a cart before beginning to head back towards the exit.
"Listen," she stated coolly, "You're weapons aren't going to do much, and I don't want any trouble so how about you just let me…"
Seras was cut off by a magical blast which threw her across the street.
The guards cheered as several gypsies arrived to join the battle.
From her position, on her back and lying is horse shit, Seras sighed deeply. "So much for not being able to do much… what the hell is this, Dungeons and Dragons?"
With a groan she sat up, just in time for a guard to impaled her through the chest.
Seras roared in anger and pain and the pike was rammed through her heart
"She's done for!" stated one of the gypsies, "A Vampire cannot move when you impale them!"
"Think again," Seras sneered as she pulled the pike from her torso.
