Nerima, during the late 20th century of a timeline that no longer exists:
Shampoo and Ukyou knew they had crossed the line during the failed wedding. Knowing they had to get back in Ranma's good graces somehow, and that doing so would require making up with the Tendos as well, they had arranged to meet with Ranma and the Tendos to issue a formal apology.
Cologne and Konatsu had come along to assist Shampoo and Ukyou.
Mousse learned of the gathering, and decided to try once more to disrupt any pairing of Shampoo and Ranma.
Tatewaki and Kodachi Kuno were still under the impression that Akane or Ranma would be happy the wedding was interrupted; but why they decided to show up then nobody but Nabiki knew.
Ryouga was trying to find the Unryuu farm when he wound up at the Tendo Dojo.
Meanwhile, up inhis room, Happosai was examining the Nanban Mirror, which he had glued back together again.
Happosai was plotting to go back to when Herb had locked Ranma's curse, and prevent Ranma from unlocking it. The thought of having Ranma-chan around 24/7 had him caught up in daydreams, so he failed to hear Kasumi knocking on his door and calling him for dinner.
Wanting to double-check if he was home, Kasumi slid the door open - and instantly realized what he had in his hands. "Oh my! You've repaired the Nanban Mirror, Grandfather Happosai?" The fact that she said it loud enough for the whole house to hear was purely accidental - really!
Moments later, everybody but Kasumi, Nabiki, and the Kunos were fighting over the mirror. The Kunos soon joined in, figuring the mirror must be important somehow, while Kasumi and Nabiki watched from the sidelines.
Ranma had just gotten ahold of the mirror when a ki-blast hit the mirror. The blast fused the glass for a moment, and activated the mirror, before the mirror exploded, sending shards across the room.
Ranma felt himself sent flying; saw swirls of color and vast tracts of history. He bumped into a woman in a sailor suit just before a massive storm of energy took hold of them and sent them tumbling through pink mists. Images of creatures he had never seen before flashed before his eyes, then he blacked out.
When he came to, Ranma found himself lying on dirt and stone. As he got to his feet, he saw several girls he had never met before lying on the ground around him. The woman in the sailor suit he had bumped into was getting to her feet unsteadily nearby.
Ranma looked around to see if anyone else was there.
