That didn't seem to be much of a problem though, as it could easily be explained away as part of her flexibility. However, she did find herself craving the oddest things, like more meat and such foods. And she did have the instincts, if not the complete form, of a feline woman.
All in all, she could tell that she was going to look a lot like the 'catgirls' in the shows that she'd seen growing up. Yet she was not afraid, as she could not think of a time when she felt better. She might have been changing partly into another species, but she was certainly not feeling any pain from it. Rather, she was feeling pretty good right about then, and hadn't needed a cigarette either for stress, or just because.
Still, that didn't change the fact that all of the girls were in the same isolation place together. That meant that they could not deal with the situation themselves. Instead, she'd have to figure on what the Commander would want to do, and she felt a chill inside as she realised that there was a very real possibility that she might not like what he would plan for her and the others.
Then again, she had never truly trusted Gendo Ikari. The man was a schemer and a cold hearted bastard after all. Trusting him would be like bringing a cobra to her bed every night. He'd been an addiction she couldn't shake, and the concept of what he might want to do with her was not exactly palatable. However, she was also well aware of the fact that she'd made her own bed in that regard. She'd known what type of person he was for a long time, and wasn't about to try to figure out some excuse over their sordid relationship.
Of course, the whole family was not exactly the best image of Japanese normalcy. Yui had been in that accident years before, and then there was Rei, who if one counted her, was a very barely related clone, but was still a clone none the less. About the only member of the family who wasn't dedicated to something to the point of willingly giving something up was Shinji.
She actually got a bit of a warm feeling when she thought of him. The boy was overly apologetic and withdrawn, but he was kind, soft hearted, and a much better person than his bastard of a father. He would be someone who would be a more desirable person to cuddle up to in the middle of the night, and would likely actually care about those who he had around him. If she was honest, she'd have to say that she liked him a whole lot better than she liked his father, or even herself.
Right now though, she had to catalog what was happening to them, at least to be aware of any health risks, so the time for deep thoughts would be later while:
