"Oh well, that was too much to hope for," said Ranma-chan with a shrug. Oddly enough, the fact that she hadn't gotten a cure didn't sting as much as it possibly could. Certainly she didn't like the curse, but the fact was that she was getting used to cures that didn't work out. That was a sad fact, and a true one. But it still was better than it getting worse, and she could admit that it did have its uses.
And as she considered it, there were some worse curses out there. Heck, she knew that there was a cat curse spring, and the idea of what would have happened had she dropped into there didn't bear thinking about. At least she still hands, and not wings, or... hoofs.
Glancing at P-chan, she realised that the Lost Boy did have a worse curse than she did in a lot of ways. Ranma stayed human, but Ryoga not only turned into a small animal, but one that one roasted and served on a platter for dinner. So he had to outrun cooks as well as deal with being naked each time he changed back.
Added to Ranma's benefit was the fact that she had fallen into the spring of the 'young girl'. She could have dropped into the 'ugly girl' and wound up looking like that girl she saw fighting Shampoo that first time, or 'wrinkled old prune' and come out looking like Cologne. Instead, she was a pretty girl who people liked to look at, boys wished they could date, and girls wanted a similar figure. Though, as she considered it, she realised that it was a bit of a problem when she did things like walk around the house in girl form without a shirt on. Memories of what just Mister Tendo's reactions had been made her wince.
Still, she didn't like the fact that she changed from a strong young man to a girl, thus opening her life to the possibility of being grabbed, hit upon, and stuck in annoying positions. She could tell that the generalizations that her father had used upon her for her entire life about girls weren't quite right, but being in a body not her own, and having to deal with all a girl did when she was a boy was not fun at all. A cure would definitely be appreciated, and she'd certainly jump for one at the moment.
But she did have to do something, and she went over to crouch down in front of P-chan. "You know something? I'm sorry that I never really realised how bad your curse was. I always thought that I had it bad, but you? I don't think that you had much fun getting people trying to cook you, right?"
Being a little too busy with the idea that Ranma was saying this, P-chan found that he couldn't answer.
Not that Ranma-chan seemed to care. "Maybe I can help you out... when you're here. But you really should take care of what you do. I can't always be there, and you have to do your best not to cause yourself problems later."
Completely confused by what she meant, the piglet merely blinked back at her while:
