"Ran-chan !" Ukyo ran to the resting place of her fiancee "Ran-chan ! It's me, your cute fiancee ! I'll get you out of there !" There was no reaction "Ranma, you jackass ! Wake up !"
Still nothing *So it was true... He's in a coma !* She tried to open his coffin with her spatula as a lever without much success. When she tried to break it, it took her a full minute to get the vibrations out of her body.
In desperation, she banged it with her fists and collapsed of despair against it *click* Her head rose up, the cover was sliding, allowing her access to Ranma !
"Ran-chan..." She remembered reading on that flyer that only a kiss would wake him up. She blushed, ensured no one was around to watch, closed her eyes and pecked him on the lips.
Seconds of waiting turned into minutes. Ranma wasn't waking up. Ukyo tried again with a full liplock then a french kiss. Her fiancee stayed stubbornly unconscious.
She shook him up screaming "YOU JACKASS ! I KISSED YOU, DAMMIT ! YOU SHOULD HAVE WOKEN UP, YOU LAZY SON OF A PANDA !!!"
"HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO !" Ukyo cringed, Kodachi's metamorphosis had made her laugh worse, the two snakes that were her arms lending their voice to her own "Silly peasant girl ! Only a girl of noble or royal extraction can hope to free Ranma-sama from his enchanted slumber ! You had no chance from the very start !"
Ukyo felt tears in her eyes. It wasn't fair... For once she could be in a position to save Ranma and she was powerless because of stupid social rules ! "I'll just take him away from this mad castle then ! I'm sure he can be awakened in a good hospital !"
Kodachi's snake arms hissed and her expression darkened "You will not. Ranma-sama must stay here, safe under the protection of his True Love and Soulmate, the great Akane Tendo !" The former deranged gymnast locked eyes with Ukyo and turned on her hypnotic gaze "Cease resisting... You know I'm right, don't you ?"
Ukyo's brain turned to mush under the serpentine stare of the Habi-no-Onna "Yes... Ran...ma is Akane's... She is the... true fiancee..." Her spatula fell out of her limp hands, clattering on the polished floor. Her eyes became empty and her voice grew monotonous "I can't compare... to the powerful... and cute... Akane. I must... leave Ranma... to her"
When Ukyo's willpower finally failed, she was caught up in another transformation spell *BAMF* Those who failed to awaken the prince fell under the curse's influence and were transformed into another fixture in the castle.
Kodachi, bent over, picked up the cute little talking Okonomiyaki portable grill and took it to the kitchens.
Meanwhile, in another part of the castle...
