"So what's wrong with these fiancees of yours?" Mihoshi asked, conjuring up a pot of coffee. It sounded like this would take awhile.
"Where to start? Okay. There's Akane. Violent, uncute, flatchested, tomboy. She's always blaming me for stuff that ain't my fault. Well it ain't always my fault at least. Always trying to cook and do feminine stuff but she just ain't got no talents for that sorta thing."
"Okay," said Mihoshi as she sipped at her coffee and made a face. Then conjured up a bowl of sugar and some cream.
"Her sisters ain't much better and neither of 'em can stand me anyway. Kasumi's always wanderin' around in some daze and's a lot older than me. Nabiki don't see anyone except as something to make profit off of. Real wannabe-Yakuza type."
"Oh dear," said Mihoshi as she cleaned up the cream and this time conjured it up inside a cardboard container.
"Yeah, you said it. Shampoo's just after me for the Amazon Law, I think. I don't wanna go back and live in her village or be some slave to her. At least that's what Akane tells me will happen. She can be cute at times, but she's way too damn c-c-c-catty."
"I see," said Mihoshi as she began spooning sugar into her coffee.
"Yeah. Ukyo - hell I didn't even realize she was a girl until recently! She crossdresses too much, she's way too focussed on okonomiyaki, and she's getting less nice the longer she spends around here," said Ranma. "Is it so bad that I want my friend back?"
"No," said Mihoshi as she frowned at her coffee cup. The spoon was sticking straight up from the amount of sugar she'd added.
"Kodachi thinks she's a fiancee, but she's into poisons and she's got a crazy laugh, and she's loony," said Ranma. "Think she's got a mean streak too."
"That's pretty bad," said Mihoshi as she realized she'd have to start over with a fresh cup.
"Yeah, but some of 'em can be pretty nice at times. When we fought that phoenix that Kuno had on his head everybody mainly put their differences aside and we all pulled together," admitted Ranma. "I'd really like to keep 'em as friends even after whatever. Man, I wish they just got along and didn't have these problems, and that, ya know, things could work out."
Mihoshi blink-blinked. "Oh wow. Like, your wish is granted."
Ranma stopped. "Say what?"
"Well, I have to be going, good luck!" Mihoshi called out and disappeared.
"I've got a bad feeling about this," said Ranma.
