"Oh, I did more than that!" Mihoshi giggled, quite pleased with herself at thinking of it. Now that she had given it a goal, it was up to the magic to lead the wish through the maze of circumstances to reach it.
Ranma took a better look at it, "Techniques of Acupressure and Bonesetting. ??"
"Oh my, there it is. Thank you, Ranma, for finding it. I meant to return the book to Dr. Tofu days ago!" Kasumi said. Kasumi? Ranma saw that he was now in the Tendo common room. And not just him; "And we have a guest. Hello, I'm Kasumi Tendo, and you are --"
"Another fiancee!?!" Akane accused, just entering the room. "So this is the reason you skipped school! That does it! I've had it: Ranma consider our "engagement" through! It's over for good this time!! For all I care, you can marry this exotic, blond," she forced herself from using the word on her mind, switching it to: "GAIJIN!" Of course she couldn't leave without throwing a glass of water on him.
The hall from his bedroom echoed with his footbeats. Soun pleaded, "Akane! Think of the two schools! Think of the dojo!" But Akane was already leaving.
"Dojo!? Is this just about property!? Kasumi has the most right to the property!" And she was gone.
"Oh, my, Akane's right." Kasumi realized. "I would have to leave my home, if Ranma married anyone else."
"Does, does that mean...." Soun was afraid even this straw would get away from him.
"I think, maybe...." Kasumi decided. "Alright. But on one condition, Father."
