Just one problem with that registered past her post-illness slug of a mind.
She certainly did NOT have a tail when she went to bed.
"AHHHH!!" she yelled, and charged over to the door as she heard her sisters coming to theirs. A part of her understood that they likely would have been jolted by the fact that she never screamed for little things, and so were likely to be checking up on her. However, at this point she needed to find out just what had happened to her.
So, when she yanked open her door and looked towards the girls exiting their rooms, she expected to merely get some confusion before some answers. What she got was the sight of her sisters seeming to have undergone a similar change as her.
"Nabiki?!" Akane said uselessly, "You have a tail!"
"And pointy ears on top of your head," Kasumi murmured in shock.
"So do the both of you!" Nabiki pointed out sharply, even as she felt up for the mentioned ears.
"EH?!" the other two chorused and began grabbing themselves to make absolutely certain that was true. Not that they would doubt their sister at a time like this, but they would hold reservation about the veracity of reality. Yet, the softly furred appendages were right there, and it was clear that they really did have them.
And as Nabiki looked over her younger sister, she saw that there was another difference.
"What is it?" Akane asked.
"You can't be called 'flat chested' now," the middle of the sister replied, pointing.
"Huh? What are you... I've... grown. That has to be a cup size at least. Like you two..."
The elder pair blinked, and joined the youngest in hefting and squeezing their newly enlarged bosoms.
"Oh MY!"
"You can say that again, Akane," Nabiki muttered in amazement as she tried to steady her legs.
Kasumi merely pressed her thighs together and looked rather embarrassed.
"How wonderful! My babies have recovered!" their father cried joyously as he popped in the hallway, startling the girls out of their reverie.
"We're fine Dad," Akane sighed.
Nabiki shrugged, and tried not to note how that action rubbed skin against her pajama top. "And, given a bit of rest, we'll be back up to speed with no trouble."
"And it's all thanks to Ranma," Soun told them.
"'Ranma'?"
"Oh, yes. He really was a proper fiance... even if he did go out to check up on those other girls. He made sure that his fiancee was taken care of himself, and extended it to the two of you."
"He did? But didn't the tails and ears even freak him out?"
"Well, according to the television, it's happening everywhere, but he continued on with no trouble at all. I'm sure that he's finally realised that he should be responsible for his fiancee and his family."
"Hmmm..." the middle sister hummed for a moment, not wanting to comment on how her father could be like the Kuno heir at times. "So he took care of us... by himself."
"Day in and day out. He made sure that you three were fed, medicated, made comfortable, and protected."
"He... Wow..." Her younger sister bit her lip. "Where is he now?"
"In his own room. After taking care of you girls, he started getting sick, but he continued on until it seemed that you were going to be okay before going to his sickbed. That's true devotion..."
"I... I'd better check in on him..."
"I think that I'll join you," Nabiki commented with a small tinge of emotion in her voice. "He might need... organization. Can't heal a person in a mess..."
"Poor Ranma... He'll need something wonderful to eat. He needs his strength, and I so want to thank him..."
Soun watched his daughters quickly leave him, but he was merely a bit surprised. None of them had actually said a 'goodbye' to him, though he wasn't too put out. They were alive and safe, which was what mattered.
So he merely shrugged, and headed back downstairs to share his good news with his friend Saotome, while:
