The children, of chi-users at least, for example, were all going to be rather strong telepathically.
The libidos of the victims were still raised, only at the moment no one noticed what with everything else going on. That is, unless someone noticed Kodachi snuggling in close to Ukyou (while Ranma was busy elsewhere) but not even Kodachi and Ukyou had really noticed that.
The telepathic bit, however, was slowly working its way through the chi-users the virus had encountered. And through them it was mutating its way through the non-chi-users that the chi-users had been with.
No one had quite noticed when that emotional bond had slowly started leaking through all of them, or when words first started to reach across the bond. They were too busy worrying about other things.
That, and the process was taking hours.
