Eberron - Red: Highwind Visitor [Episode 137508]

The Highwind sailed through the sky with a full load of cargo for the port city of Stormreach. If everything went as expected, it would only take three days to make the trip.

Cid had already made plans for improvements, spending much of the day scribbling notes. The wind generated by passage through the thin air was cold and fierce, making time out on the deck a problem. Then there was the thin air itself, which was difficult to breathe due to the temperature and that thin quality.

The binding together of several lesser air elementals, apparently Cid had issues with the binding of intelligent forces and had chosen to summon and bind forces that were more passive and less objecting, had worked well but needed some fine-tuning. It was loud and there was some bumping and shaking occurring at the speeds the craft was travelling.

So it was only one bundled figure on the deck that night, handling the ship's wheel and standing near the lever which would sound an alarm to rouse the others in case of an attack.

Naturally, it was Tao. Warforged didn't sleep or feel the cold to the extent that a human would. He had volunteered as the most logical choice for this duty.

So when a visitor arrived in the dead of night, it was quietly observed by someone who did not fatigue and was not distracted by the cold.

Though the visitor was just one individual, the fact that they had suddenly appeared like that on a ship travelling very quickly at a high altitude meant that this was unlikely to be an easily dealt with individual. Tao tugged once on the lever that was linked to the alarm belowdecks as he had been instructed.
