The smile faded. Nah. Couldn't be. Had to just be a weird effect of the sickness that had a lingering dream. Right? Right! Just to be sure though.
Captain Samantha Carter flapped her wings briefly.
Uh... huh.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! WHAT THE HECK IS THIS?!"
"You're classified as an Angel now," said Doctor Janet Frazier wearily from her own cot. "The wings function despite anything you might think about mass-to-surface area ratios."
"OUCH!" noted Captain Carter as she pulled a feather from her wing. "That hurt. They're real?"
Janet groaned and sank back onto the bed. "Yes. Real. Now can I get some more sleep? These changes apparently don't hurt anyone beyond the psychological effect of transformation itself."
"JANET?! You've changed too!" said a staring Carter.
"No joke. Can I sleep now? It's nothing I can do anything about except get it over with," complained the Doctor. "I've looked over the reports and I can see that I'm turning into-"
