For the Gundam: Restarts: Bring Forth the Restarts Gundam! [Episode 137993]

by Ninja Kasuga of the Demonite Race

This series has been considered Japan’s Star Trek, the first of the real robot genre that changed the way we look at giant robot anime, and has held onto the prestigious title of Japan’s Premier Anime Saga. A series that originally did so poorly in its first run they cut its original episode slot from 50 to 43, but in its rerun phase the fans gobbled it up and demanded more. Soon a series of sequels, movies, manga, OAV’s, model kits and other merchandise spawned from this originally flopped series. Mobile Suit Gundam has proven in its 26 years of life it isn’t exiting stage left anytime soon.

From The original to its first non-UC continuity series G-Gundam, to the latest incarnation Gundam Seed Destiny, Gundam has proven it still has an edge over other series. It has even spurred several other real robot animes from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, to Mobile Police Patlabor, and even slightly more out there series like Martian Successor Nadesico have been influenced by Gundam, be it in mecha design or the realistic themes of war.

Now Anime Addventure brings to you a set of options to either further your favorite Gundam continuity, or create your own. Choose wisely.
