Just as he neared the mess hall door, he heard a distinctive “slap” of a hand against flesh, and then the door to the mess hall opened and a fuming Miriallia storms out. Sai quickly put himself flat against the wall to stay out of range of the womanly anger his friend was displaying. Once she was out of sight he poked his head into the mess hall, and was treated to Dearka on the floor in an overturned chair with a fat palm imprint on his face, and Yzak was laughing his ass off, barely keeping himself from falling out of his chair.
“May I ask what the heck just happened?” Sai inquired, wondering what brought on this comedy before his eyes.
Dearka shot Yzak a dirty look. “Somebody had to bring up a factoid of my academy days I’d rather have stayed in the past.”
”Hey, it’s not my fault you were into the whole ladies man image back at the academy!” Yzak snickered, despite his laughter was at Dearka’s expense, it felt good to have something to laugh about.
“Oh shut up.” Dearka grumbled.
Sai chuckled help but chuckles softly as he shook his head. Well at least some randomness happened once in awhile to break the stale mood.
Meanwhile, other onboard the Eternal, Kira and Lacus were engaged in an activity of their own.
”That’s it, that’s the spot…” Lacus coaxed with a soft moan.
”How’s that?”
”Mmm just a little harder,” She almost purred.
“Alright, is this better?” Kira asked as he adjusted the way the palm of his hand was kneading the muscles in Lacus’s shoulder blades.
“Mmm, yes that feels good.” Lacus nods, sighing contently; rolling her shoulders against his hands. “Thank you, my back was starting to give me payback for being in a hunched position so often the last few weeks.
”Don’t mention it Lacus, happy to be of service.” Kira smiled genuinely. While the wait onboard the warships was maddening; Kira also found the solitude and lack of combat a much needed respite of rest and relaxation. Giving him time to lick his wounds, and try to cope with the losses of those who died.
Lacus had been a Godsend to Kira these past two and a half weeks. She was there for him when he needed to be held, or someone to talk to and vent his sorrow and frustrations. She gave him space and alone time when he needed it; she was careful to give the right amount of affection and not smoother him with it. For Lacus their time together was good for her as well; Kira helped ease the pain of her Father’s death, returning the comfort and affection she gave to him.
“So what do you want to do once I finish easing your muscles here?” Kira asked.
The pink-haired pop-singer tapped her chin in thought. “Perhaps a bite to eat and then we could work on that song together?”
Nodding in agreement, Kira said. “Sure thing although I’m curious as to why you asked me to help with this song, I’m not the most music-talented person.”
She giggled and cocked her head to look at him. “I asked for you help silly is because the song is a reflection of the cost of war, and what prices people make to bring peace at the war’s end. As someone who’s fought in war, and understands the price of gaining peace you’re a perfect candidate to help me work out the lyrics and the feel of the song.”
Kira’s lips purse in an “ah” of understanding. “That makes sense I guess, so have you decided on a name yet for the song?”
”Mmm, no sadly I have yet to think of an appropriate title.” She pouted a little.
Kira chuckles and softly wraps his arms around her to pull her against him in a hug. “I’m sure you’ll think of one Lacus.”
”Don’t’ you mean “we will think of one” Kira?” She said as she softly poked her nose.
“Whatever you say Lacus.”
The two share a quick, yet hearty laugh. When they stop their eyes meet; and then slowly they inch their lips closer until they touch in a soft, tender kiss. Lacus’s right hand moves up and behind to cup Kira’s cheek as his arms around her waist tighten a little, the two of them losing themselves into the innocent kiss, letting the others presence slowly heal their hearts, minds, and souls of the pain of war.
Elsewhere on the Eternal, another couple was spending time together. However Athrun and Cagalli were a bit more…bold and faster paced than their friends.
In a lone corner somewhere in the lesser used areas of the ship, Cagalli softly moaned into Athrun’s mouth as he kissed her. Her back was pressed against the bulkhead of the corner; her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His hands ran through her blonde hair, massaging the back of her head as he felt the semi-course yet smooth hair.
Like their friends, they spent much of their time together; building up their more intimate relationship with each other, leaning on the other to let their presence heal their hearts and souls. It often became this in the end, once the first kiss was given, a second followed, then a third and soon they were lovingly sucking face.
At times their making out was pure and sweet, other times, raw and primal, or a mixture of the two. This was certainly the latter.
Athrun let out a gasp of surprise as Cagalli’s leg lifted up and wrapped around his waist, pulling him against her, causing their bodies to grind together in a very intimate fashion.
“Cagalli…ahhh!” He groaned as she attacked his neck, her lips forming a seal around the spot as she attacked it with tongue and teeth, nibbling the flesh there. She never ceased to surprise Athrun with these sudden bold movements. He exhaled a shuddering breath as she sucked on the flesh of his neck, turning him into putty in her hands.
She then stopped suckling on his neck, and arched her own in a submissive wanton gesture for him to do the same. He inched his head close to give her what she wanted.
”Hey youngsters! You do know this ship has a PDA article in its charter don’t you?” The cheerfully mirth in Andrew Waltfeld’s voice held no lack of amusement.
Both teens made a “gack” sound and pulled away from the other, blushing beet red as they turned toward the former ZAFT officer.
”Seeing as we’re confined to these tubs I can understand the need to vent, but try and keep a lid on the hormones till we’re certain the war won’t break out again. Once we’re in the clear for certain, boink away all ya’ want!” Andy laughed as he turned to walk away, waving to them. “Oh and Zala when ya get a chance Erica Simmons wants ya’ to call her, something about the multi-targeting system for the Justice…oh and by the way you might wanna cover that hicky up.”
Athrun’s hand clasped over the spot on his neck where Cagalli had left her impression on him.
“Don’t you have anything better to do than butt into people’s business?!” Cagalli yelled to the retreating Andy as he moved down the hall.
“As a matter of fact, no I don’t! Hahahahaha!”
Cagalli felt a very big vein form on her head. “One of these days…”
”That sure as hell killed the mood.” Athrun grumbled.
