Light of Darkness, Shadow of Light: Happosai's Revelation, Start of the Three Months [Episode 138749]

by TuZiWang

It was the morning of the Monday three weeks after the failed wedding.

After that, the fiancées, real or imagined, stopped bothering Ranma. For a whole week (a new record for restraining themselves!). Then they came back in full force. In fact, it sometimes it seemed as though they were pursuing him with even more vigor. This naturally was not good for Akane’s temper, and as a result there was even more bricks, as well as other things, being smashed by her on a regular basis. Of course, Soun and Genma saw this as Akane getting even closer to Ranma, and have tried at least once per week to marry them off. In fact, they’ve recently got the help of Happosai to help join the school. Little did they know that things were going to change soon.

*************************

Genma Saotome was sneaking up on his son smirking. The foolish boy didn’t know betters, but after he is married to Akane, he will know his place. All he had to do was to spar with his son, and then Happosai would jump in to tag him with the Ultimate Weakness point again. Then, he would tie up his son and drag him off to a priest to get married. It was the perfect plan! After all, it was merely a small sacrifice to have Ranma satisfy Happosai’s whims.

As he sprang to throw his son out the window, Ranma’s eyes snapped open and countered his grapple.

“And what do you think you are doing?” Ranma asked in a no-nonsense tone.

“Foolish boy, it’s now time for your morning spar!” Genma responded, while sweating internally. This wasn’t supposed to happen! Since when was his son able to detect him through a lesser variation of the Umi Sen Ken?

“Really? How would I be able to do that if you are too injured to move?”

“What are you talking about? I’m not hurt at all,” Genma asked.

“This.” And with that, Ranma sprang into action, thoroughly pounding every inch of his fat oaf of a father. After thoroughly pounding Genma, Ranma punted him out of the window, where he landed into the middle of the koi pond with a big splash and immediately changed into a panda moaning in pain.

‘He shoots, he scores!’ Ranma thought cheerfully as he put on a set of clothes that he hadn’t worn for over two years, the ensemble of black silk that he arrived with when he returned to this world from his millennia long sojourn across time and dimensions.

‘Ah, it’s good to be back in black!’ Ranma thought as he stepped into the dining room, handily dodging Soun’s attempt to blindside him while hitting him with a pressure point, causing him to sit down in front of the table as if he was there all along. Soun, naturally, started to wail along the lines of how his son-in-law was disrespectful. Just then, Happosai hopped in, and struck out. Ranma easily evaded it, only to have Happosai to rebound and strike the moxibustion point.

Happosai was cheering on the inside. Now Ranma-chan wouldn’t be able to prevent him from getting what rightfully was his! However, his rejoicing was interrupted when Ranma’s hand struck out and started to choke him. *How?! He is supposed to be weak as a baby right now! There’s no way he should be able to do this!*

“Happosai. Remove it.” Ranma commanded.

“Why...*gasp*... should I? *wheeze*” gasped out Happosai, while struggling to free himself but failing miserably.

“If I were to do it myself, you will be very sorry. Now remove it.” Ranma said, this time eyes flashing in anger.

“I... can’t,” Happosai said weakly, shuddering in fear from the amount of anger, as well as the implication of the amount of strength within Ranma.

Sighing, Ranma said, “Guess if you want something done, right or at all, you’ve got to do it yourself.” Focusing his internal energies, he focused on realigning the ki flows to their proper places in the bodies, as well as forcing the point to reverse itself. While this was not obvious to Soun and Genma, Happosai could see clearly what he was doing, and shivering from it. It wasn’t the fact that he was reversing the pressure point through pure ki manipulation itself, although that was very impressive. No, it was the fact that he was using the Yin aspect of ki, the darker side to it, and further strengthening it with the Yang aspect, the lighter side to it. Normally this ki wouldn’t be available to male martial artists, unless it was under specific conditions, such as having a female partner that is equal in skill to guide him to draw out that ki. Even then, the access is extremely limited. There was only one style of fighting, the one he based his own style off of, that managed to draw an unlimited amount of Yin ki, and Ranma was not trained in it, so he shouldn’t be able to... unless...

Happosai gasped, as the revelation hit him. “You, you are... are you...?”

Ranma smirked at Happosai’s stuttering. “Yes, I AM a master of that style, the one that you based off of, and I must say, you have perverted it quite badly. If I wanted to I could effectively end your martial arts career...” At this, Happosai shuddered. “...However, you will have three months in which to redeem yourself. If you haven’t yet convince me of allowing you to use a variation of one of my styles by then, then you can kiss your life as a martial artist goodbye.” With that, he walked into the kitchen to help Kasumi with breakfast.
