Ranma faced his female counterpart, floating in darkness above a crack pouring in light.
“Have you felt it? The barriers between the worlds are weakening,” Ranko asked.
“Yes, but first we must finish our business here. How fast can the seal be completely broken down?” Ranma responded.
“Assuming we bring our full force to bare, it would only take an hour. However, this would leave us horribly weak, even worse than with Happosai’s Ultimate Weakness point. It would also alert other beings of power to our presence.”
“Unacceptable,” Ranma stated. “We must break the seal so that we are at full strength when it is completely released. How long will that take?”
“Three months,” was the answer.
“That’ll be enough time to set my matters in order. Afterwards we will have to find the source of the weakness in the barrier,” mused Ranma.
“Humph!”
“What, are you getting jealous?” Ranma teased. Ranko looked away, refusing to meet his eye. Hugging her from behind, Ranma said to her, “Remember, I will always love you, and only you. After all, you are the one who completes my soul.”
Ranko relaxed into his arms, and they stayed like that for an unknown period of time. Finally, Ranko got up. “Well, that seal isn’t going to release itself you know, and the sooner we release it, the sooner we can be with each other on the real plane.” With that, the two set to work releasing the seal.
