Building a better world: This doesn't sound right... [Episode 138843]

"Let me see if I'm getting this," Ami said. "You are saying that you want to create Crystal Tokyo?"

Usagi nodded, a bit fearful of her friend's reaction.

"RIGHT NOW?" Ami almost yelled.

Usagi cringed and backed up a step, but then stepped forward again and nodded. "It must be done," she said.

Ami tried to calm herself down. This was BAD. "Usagi, I understand what you must be feeling about what happened to Naru, but I don't think that it's the best moment for-"

"You don't understand, Ami," Usagi said, her newfound resolve flowed back to her. "This is not just about Naru. It's about the whole world."

"But it's too soon!" Ami said, exasperated. "We haven't even finished High School!"

"Ami," Usagi said with a calm voice. "Do you read newspapers?"

Ami blushed. "Well, no, but-"

"Then read them." Usagi said. "When you read about the hunger of half of the world, about the slavery, about the wars where they force CHILDREN to fight, then I dare you to tell me again that the world can afford to wait."

Ami was taken aback by the intensity of her friend's words, but she recovered her wits quickly. "And just HOW do you plan to do this? Just wave up your crystal and POOF!" Ami waved her arms. "Evil-B-Gone and instant Queen? The world doesn't work that way."

Usagi closed her eyes. "No... It doesn't," she said sadly.

Ami wasn't prepared for this answer. She didn't expect Usagi to concede defeat that quickly after what she had just said.

She couldn't avoid feeling a ashamed of her outburst. "Usagi..." she started to say.

"That's why I need your help, Ami." Usagi said. "You are... the smartest person I know, and one of my best friends. I need to make sure that I'm doing this right."

Ami felt both relief and worry. It seemed that Usagi's wish was not just a feeble whim or a hasty decision. She seemed to have been thinking a lot about this. But... that also meant that they would actually have to pull this through. She still believed that they shouldn't be hasty about this, or else they would risk everything. She hoped that she could convince Usagi of that.

"I... I think I understand. But... shouldn't we also tell this to the others? I'm sure they can also help you with this," Ami said.

"Please don't," Usagi said. "At least, until we actually have something to show them. I don't want them to believe that I'm insane..."

"Oh, god Usagi, I'm sorry..." Ami apologized.

"Don't worry," Usagi said. "It's alright. I knew you would hear me out despite what you thought. It's not as if this doesn't sound as an insane plot."

"Yes, Sailor Plan 76 From Outer Space," Ami joked, managing to smile.

"From Inner Space. At least, until we invite the Outers here," Usagi corrected, laughing.
