"How long has she been peeling spuds for? There's gotta be enough potatoes ready to prepare almost two servings of home fries for each cadet!" exclaimed one of the kitchen staff.
"She's been here since 0500 hours just peeling away and has been at it for almost 4 hours!" exclaimed the male head cook.
"You did give her a breakfast break, right?"
"The standard thirty minute break around 0730 hours. She finished her meal in ten minutes and continued to work! She's obviously got something motivating her..."
Meanwhile, Lunamaria Hawke simply continued peeling potatoes while repeating the mantra that she had been mentally chanting to herself since she reported for kitchen duty. 'I will find my sempai. I will find my sempai. I will find my sempai. I will find my sempai. I will...' Had the kitchen staff heard her mantra, they would have probably turned her to the Academy Counselor immediately.

"So how go your preparations for the assassination mission, Graham?"
"Well, sir...security's been beefed up as expected so we're attempting to predict the exact movements of the Secretary-General's entourage when he goes into the PLANT Supreme Council Headquarters. Once we have a general idea of his movements, we will make an attempt by the day after tomorrow."
"Very well. I'll expect a mission report by 2200 hours the day after tomorrow. Send it through the usual channels."
"Yes, sir."

"Cadet Hawke...Cadet Hawke!!"
'I will find my sempai. I will find my...huh?' "What?"
"Breakfast hour's over. You're free to go," said the head cook.
"That was fast," mumured Luna in a dazed tone. She shook her head and was amazed at the number of potatoes she had peeled. "I really did that much?!?"
A few moments later after she had changed into her normal student uniform, she headed back to her dorm to check her mail and found a letter addressed to her from her younger sister, Meyrin Hawke. Also, there was a small key in her mailbox as well. She opened the envelope and began to read.
Hey, Lumi!
Guess what? I was able to pass the admissions exam to the Academy so I'll be coming up here when the new term starts in a few months!
Luna smiled. Having her prankster sister around would certainly make things interesting. Maybe she could convince her to pull a trick on Shinn.
And when you come back home for the long break, mom and dad are going to take us to the Junius Nine vacation resort!
Looking forward to seeing you again!
Love, Meyrin.
P.S. You mentioned in your last letter about the number of immature boys hitting on you. So I sent you a little something that may help. Enjoy! ^_^
Luna picked up the key and stuck it in the general package mailbox. 'Let's see here...there's my package! I wonder what she sent me...' Luna went into her quarters, opened up her package and blinked. In front of her was a very hard...fruitcake. A small note was attached to it. She picked it up and began to read.
Dad told me that this fruitcake has been in our family for generations and was supposedly baked in the time before the Cosmic Era calendar came in effect. I believe that wielding the Hawke indestructible fruitcake from hell will certainly drive off any idiot boy that you may not like. Use it well against the forces of darkness!! ^_^
After reading the note over, Luna simply started giggling.
