Aboard the Pegasus, the sounds of several handguns being fired could be heard even if one were standing several feet away from the ship's shooting range. Currently, Akira, Leo and Hugo were in there, doing target practice. The standard acceptable accuracy percentage is seventy percent however being the elite agents that they are, Leo and Akira set their acceptable accuracy mark at ninety-five percent while Hugo went even higher to ninety-seven since the power of his Juggernaut Gundam depends on his sharpshooting in the cockpit. After the buzzer rang to signal the end of the session, the trio went to check their scores.
"Shit...only got ninety-two percent," grumbled Leo as he ruffled his dark green hair.
"You don't have to worry too much about accuracy since your suit is technically designed for melee combat," replied Akira as he was satisfied with his ninety-six percent rate.
"Well...what if a situation arose in which I had to pilot Hugo's machine? Then what? Ninety-two percent may be a pretty good grade but in battle, the extra percentage point can make a major difference." Leo grabbed his water bottle and took a sip to rehydrate himself.
"Don't worry your little head about it, pal. You just do your fancy schmancy mobile suit fighting techniques and I'll do the firing," said Hugo as his grade came in at ninety-nine percent. "Damn. Recoil must have screwed up my fourteenth shot."

"Captain's Log. October 29, CE 71. The Archangel has been conducting military exercises alongside the Eternal and the Kusanagi for ten days now. Kisaka has been quite persistent to make sure that everyone is prepared for what the Obsidian Abyss may have in store for us. When we forwarded our activity records for the past week and a half to Councilwoman Eileen Canaver, she stated that she would be sending us a little gift as a token of her appreciation for our efforts to maintain the peace. On another positive note, the PLANT Supreme Council has lifted the traitor status and has reinstated full citizenship to Andy Waltfeld and Lacus Clyne." Before Murrue could continue recording, someone knocked on the door to her office. She pressed the stop button on the recorder before speaking again. "Come in."
Jackie Tonomura, one of the bridge bunnies of the Archangel, walked into her office with a small box in his hands. "We received this parcel from Ms. Canaver a few moments ago, madam."
"I wonder what it could be." Murrue took out a knife to cut open the cardboard box and peeked into the box. The box contained a brochure to the Junius Nine vacation resort and several passes. "This was unexpected..."
"I've never been to that place. I wonder what it's like," murmured Jackie.
A few moments later, she was engaged in a three way conversation between herself, Andy and Kisaka. "So the both of you got the same gift from Councilwoman Canaver?"
"That's right. The gesture is kind although I don't believe it was necessary," replied Kisaka.
"Are ya kidding? We could use some healthy R&R in a nice warm environment!" exclaimed Andy.
Kisaka blinked at Andy's outburst. "I thought that the two and a half weeks rest in the beginning of the month was sufficient."
"You call spending two and a half weeks stuck in our ships a real rest?!? Anyways, the small shore leave would probably do wonders for crew morale. And the resort is absolutely fabulous. I had some good times there with Aisha a while back..." Andy paused, thinking of the fun that he had with his girlfriend almost a year ago.
"Andy does raise a point. We haven't seen much Obsidian Abyss activity since their assassination attempt on the Secretary-General. And speaking of Olbani, did you two hear about the progress at the negotiating table?" asked Murrue.
"It is certainly promising. And according to Eileen's note inside the box, Olbani will be heading back to the Earth in a few days to present the draft to all government authorities on the planet. I believe that we should be the ones to escort him back to the planet," said Kisaka.
Andy spoke next. "That won't be totally necessary. Eileen mentioned that there would be a trustworthy ZAFT escort to protect the Earth Alliance Secretary General. But I suppose one of us should go just in case there's major trouble."
Kisaka raised an eyebrow. "Just one ship, Mr. Waltfeld?"
"Well...the Eternal will have to stay behind to help run tests on the Justice and do a few catapult tests," replied the Desert Tiger.
"And the Archangel is scheduled to receive some computer upgrades in a few days at the Martius Five shipyard. Looks like it'll be just the Kusanagi. Sorry about this," said Murrue in an apologetic tone.
Kisaka nodded. "You don't have to apologize, Captain Ramius. In any case, once we reach Earth, the Kusanagi will be staying there for a few days to check up on the restructuring of the Orb union. So we would be back by around mid-November."
"I see. So will you be joining us at the resort?" asked Murrue.
The Orb captain gave it some thought before speaking. "I suppose a small vacation of this sort could rejuvenate the spirits of the crew."
"In that case, I'll see both of ya there!" Andy's image blinked off as well as Kisaka's to end the conversation.
Murrue leaned back on her seat in the bridge. "Helm, set a course for Junius Nine!"
