“Keeping your distance eh? Good to know you can change and adapt your tactics as the situation changes.” Kou said to himself as he kept trying to get closer to the Duel but it seemed Yzak had wizened up a lot after his first taste of the Maga-no-Ikutachi. Deciding to up the ante he aimed the right arm and fired off three lancer darts that came as part of the Trikeros offense/defense system from the right arm of the Blitz.
The lancers raced toward the Duel at top speed. Yzak saw them and took aim, firing off his beam rifle and Shiva rail gun. He hit two of the Lacers, but the third hit his right shoulder. Since this was a sparring match, all weapons including projectiles had been set so they wouldn’t pierce the armor. The Lancer just simply stuck to the shoulder when a magnet built into the tip activated.
Yzak growled, pounding his fist into the side of the cockpit. “Shit, now my right arm’s offline!” He growled at the indicator designed to read off which part of the MS was incapacitated. Both his right arm and the shoulder mounted rail gun were useless.
“Now except for the micro-missiles in the left shoulder he has to fight up close and personal.” Kou chuckled as he accelerated towards the Duel. As expected the micro-missile launcher on the Duel’s left shoulder opened up and fired its missiles. Gold Frame simply brought its Maga-no-Ikutachi units forward and formed in front of the MS like a shield. The missiles hit the wing units, the damage indicator showing that no major damage had been dealt and thus the units remained operational.
However that changed as a beam saber went over both units, not cutting them for real, but to the battle-damage indicator the units had been neatly sliced and thus folded back to a non-usable state on the back. “What the hell?”
“Looks like you fell for that one Shrimp!” Yzak called over the com-line as the Duel wielding a beam saber in the left arm flew towards him.
“Touché Scarface, but I ain’t beat yet!” Kou retorted as he drew his own beam saber and swung at the Duel, parrying his beam saber with the Duel’s. His eyes widened as the left shoulder launcher opened up again. “Aw shit!” He swerved and boosted upwards, wincing as the indicator told him the left leg was hit and now inoperable.

“Those two are going all out, hard to tell who’s going to win this one.” Andy chuckled as he watched the fight.
“Between their goading trash-talk and constant one-upping the other during the battle, it defiantly isn’t a one-sided win.” Murrue said as she shook her head slightly. “Although I have to admit its good to see Kou’s fighting skills weren’t a fluke during the last battle.”
“You and me both Captian Ramius,” Kisaka agreed.
“Who do you think is going to win Captian?” Sai asked, looking up from his work station.
“I don’t know. Yzak has plenty of combat skills under his belt, and yet Kou seems to have a good tactical mind and knows how to exploit weaknesses…in all honesty it’s in the air.” Murrue admitted.

The battle between the Duel and Gold Frame continued to rise in intensity. By now the Duel had managed to damage the Gold Frame’s, the indicator cutting off all functions below the wrist. Gold Frame returned the favor taking the right leg and the bottom of the left foot of the Duel clean off.
Eyes narrowing, both pilots decide to gamble a final move. Accelerating as best they could, both twirl the sabers, clashing together, sliding them down and thrusting forward.
Both cockpits turned red as the battle-damage indicators signaled the cockpits had been breeched and destroyed. “WHAT THE FUCK?!” Both exclaimed, realizing they both used the same move and stabbed each other in the cockpit.
“Looks like it’s a draw you two,” Andy chuckles in a very amused tone as the suit’s functions return to normal. “Return to your ships for maintenance and refueling.”
”A draw? It can’t end in a draw! I need to kill this punk!”
Kou snorted. “I wouldn’t mind smacking Scarface around some more myself.”
”It’s over you two, return to your ships now.” Kisaka stated firmly.
”Roger…” Both grumbled and headed back toward their respective ships.
“So who’s next on the line up?” Miriallia asked.
“Looks like it’s-“
