Soun & Genma's : Little Problem [Episode 140038]

by Kestral

It was Typhon. It was Destruction. Zeus and all the members of his pantheon working together had not been enough to kill it. As it regained its strength, it determined there was a threat to it thataway.

Ranma and the other survivors of Furinkan were immediately grateful that THEY were not in the path of that.

Oh sure, "Ranma Saotome Doesn't Lose". When he could take Ryonami's binoculars and see traffic lights explode and then melt as the creature got closer - he had some reservations against going up against this particular monster. Oh sure, it was hot enough. He MIGHT be able to do a "soul of ice" and try to get it to follow him into a spiral. Could he do it without going from Original Recipe to Extra Crispy?

Ranma could be cocky. There were limits.

Nabiki, who might have had her own brand of arrogance and overconfidence, was heading off into shock. Every possession she had was gone. Everything she owned that had survived - she was wearing or carrying.

Akane was unconscious. Unable to believe or credit what she was seeing, she had started off to go attack the monster. Ukyo had very kindly stopped wheezing and gasping for breath long enough to bring her spatula down.

Normally Ranma would have protested someone knocking Akane out like that. Considering that it had preserved her life, he was willing to overlook it.

Ukyo was gasping and wheezing. Yes, she was a trained martial artist. Yes, she was really good with her art. Having sprinted several miles while carrying a passenger on her back - she was terribly winded and just as happy she didn't have to fight anything right at the moment.

Yuka and Sayuri were less mercenary than Nabiki, but had essentially arrived in the same location as far as mental state was concerned.

Miyo was laying out cards and apparently trying to figure out the interpretation thereof.

Miss Hinako had gone off in search of candy, thankfully in a direction AWAY from the big ugly.

Kuno was unconscious. Thankfully, as no one really wanted to put up with him at this point.

Ryonami was continuing to snap pictures. That her camera was out of film and had been for some time she was just not capable of noticing at this point.

None of those assembled on the hill knew it, but there were other survivors. Kasumi was alive and fretting about the milk she had in plastic jugs getting spoiled. Soun and Genma, the instigators, were still alive. Hospitalized in entirely different wards of Tokyo, but alive. Shampoo and Cologne were alive. Unfortunately they were trapped underground with the entry fused solid, but they were alive for the moment.

Happosai was still alive. He hadn't been in Nerima and didn't see any reason to hasten his return.

Typhon was heading towards a threat though. And this threat bore the name of:
