Lab Days - Bishieman: Father Knows Best [Episode 140158]

by Kestral

Once upon a time there was a destitute dojo, next to a fairly large (for Japan) ancestral home. In this home there lived the sensei of the dojo, though he didn't teach students and admitted he had no real source of income. Yet he was wise and a loving father who only thought of what was best for his children.

One day another father dragged his ill-mannered and thoughtless offspring in, and announced through parental wisdom that the two houses would be joined. Which was a great surprise to both the daughters of the sensei and the son of the wanderer as they had only discovered this within the hour of that arrival.

Then these two wise and knowledgable martial artists caught this itty bitty flu bug.

Things went right downhill after that.

Okay, what really happened was that after the flu had struck - Kasumi had taken care of her father and Mister Saotome for the most part.

Nabiki had tried to profit off the situation.

Akane had taken care of Ranma, with much less successful results than Kasumi but also had to deal with a lot more interference in the course of said caregiving.

What made it truly horrible for the three daughters living there was what the two fathers had manifested as.

There were Elves - who had inhuman grace and a truly bishonen elegan beauty about them. Quite often they were also a bit effete, but that was the way things went. Tatewaki Kuno was an Elf, and a High Elf at that.

There were Ogres - who had bulked up and become massively muscular individuals who might have resembled the Incredible Hulk if they wanted to wear green body paint and didn't have individual features to distinguish them. Since a number wore glasses after recovering, the effect could be disconcerting. Ryoga was an Ogre.

There were Wolflings or Dogboys or Hounds (and so on - nobody had come up with a single prevelant term to use and so there were a half dozen terms for the same type of transformee) who were faster and stronger than they had been, with attentuated senses. Ranma's transformation had put him in this category.

There were Tigers and Lions and Panthers, or at least feline types that preferred to call themselves something similar. Fast, dextrous, and strong. They seemed to have a natural rivalry with Dogboys.

There were Three Eyes, with psychic talents and a third eye which seemed to pick up different things from individual to individual. Kagome's grandfather was one of these.

There were Dark Angels, with their mental powers and abilities of flight. Hiroshi was one of these.

There were Foxboys, of which Kagome's brother Sota was one. There were Cyborgs (of a sort), there were Angels, there were others running around.

Soun had become an Elf. Unlike Kuno however, he had dark hair and faintly blue skin and a set of gills. Soun had become a sea elf, and was therefore considering expanding the furo considerably.

The good news was that there were not going to be hairballs left behind by a panda - the Jusenkyo curse had been cured. The horror part was what Genma had become:
