“Hey is this seat taken?”
Kou blinked, snapping out of his reverie and looked up. “Oh Lowe it’s you, sure have a seat.”
The Junk Tech sat down next to him, setting his tray before him and Eight in the chair beside him. “Just the man I wanted to see.” He says with a large grin.
Kou raised an eyebrow as he took a sip of milk, “About what?” He asked as he wondered what the Junk Tech wanted to speak to him about.
Lowe looked around the room, checking to make sure no one was within ear-shot. Once he had confirmed they were secure, he leaned in close to Kou. “I know this may sound sudden, but how’d you like to help me jack some mobile suits from the Alliance and Blue Cosmos?”
Kou looked at Lowe funny. “Start talking…”

“So Tammy’s team got their asses handed to them too?”
Akira nodded as he looked over at Leo. “Yeah, I heard all but Larry Anna on her team were wasted by Gold Frame.”
Hugo whistled. “Damn, even the new DoMZ suits didn’t hold up in either battle.”
”While superior to the Alliance’s Dagger series and on par with the GuAIZ mobile suits of ZAFT, but the DoMZ are still mass-production fodder.” Akira said logically. “Maybe with more modifications and phase shift armor they’d be able to run over the GAT series suits or the Astray prototypes, but they’re just cannon fodder.”
“I can’t argue with that logic.” Leo said as he lies back on his bunk. “So are the higher ups gonna bust our balls to buck private or we just on a grace period?”
”We’re certainly on a screw-up list that’s for certain.” Hugo grumbled as he took a bite from a breakfast sandwich. “We’re lucky we’re the best aces the Obsidian Abyss military arm has or we might be worse off.”
”Yeah, true and we are piloting those three machines.” Leo reasoned.
“Don’t let our pilot statuses lull either of you into a false sense of security. A screw up is a screw up; the Top Five won’t hesitate to punish us if we continue to fuck up.” Akira reminded them in a slightly harsh tone. “Its true skilled pilots like us are rare but that doesn’t mean they don’t have our replacements in the wing either.”
Leo sighed as he stared at the ceiling. “Say Akira, ain’t you and Tammy fucking or something?”
Akira shot his friend and teammate a harsh glare. “We’re lovers, not fuck-buddies you moron, get it right.”
“Sheesh, s’cuse me for living.” Leo rolled his eyes. “In any case, have you two seen each other recently before the operations started?”
”I saw her before she went to Earth, what’s it to you?”
“You worried? Ya’know, about if she’ll screw up and get into big trouble or get killed?”
Akira looked up from his book, a mild expression of concern washed over his face for a moment. “A little bit, Tammy’s a competent warrior but…her target might make her falter.”
”Why’s that?”
”Don’t you remember Hugo? Back in the day, she used to baby-sit Kou with me before he ran from us. Even thought the brass is mixed on getting him back alive or outright killing him, she’s always tried to find some excuse to try and bring him back to the fold alive.” Akira sighed. “I’m worried if it came down to it she won’t be able to shot him if it’s down to him or her.”
”What about your feelings? If I remember you and Kou used to be like brothers.” Leo pointed out.
Akira’s expression hardened. “I already made my resolve that if I have no choice, and that he won’t see reason…I’ll kill him where he stands myself.”

“Okay, so we’re going to meet your friend Jane and Harrelson near the factory, they give us disguises to get inside. Once In the factory we have to divert attention and steal four prototype mobile suits, and pray to God we can ditch them so they won’t tail us back to Orb?”
Lowe nodded. “That’s about the gist of it.”
Kou looked at the Junk Tech like he was insane. “Lowe that is the most whacked out, insane, and ballsy idea I’ve ever heard.” He then grins like a madman. “I’m in!”
