Yet, the addition of feeling great wings upon her back was a new thing, as was the sensation of... well being and purpose that filled her person. It was rather odd, but she felt a sort of pleasure upon being able to awaken and stretch her new appendages. Not that it distressed her, though this time it was not an absence of reaction that did it, but the calm acceptance of the movement of life.
In other words, she was feeling pretty good at the moment, and wasn't seeing any reason to complain about what had happened to her.
The situation did sink in though, as she saw Misato and Ritsuko racing through a forced open door, with the latter woman now sporting a tail. Feeling an urge to follow them, but not knowing what would be holding her there, she did the only thing that she could do. Clasping her hands together, she bowed her head and thought as best she could, until she had a flash of intervention.
"Mystic Miracle Matrix!" Somehow, she whispered a declaration, and was surrounded by a pattern of pulsing runes. "Guardian Power ON!"
The patterns of light began swirling around her like feathers until with a flash the transformation was done.
"Magical Angel Guardian Rei-chan. Let light shine upon all."
Scowling, Gendo looked over the impotent underlings that he'd surrounded himself with... and then shivered almost as if Yui had just tap danced over his grave.
"Sir?" asked the Vice Commander. "Is something wrong?"
"Everything is going wrong."
"True..."
"I didn't ask you to agree with me."
"Of course not, sir," Fuyutsuki replied.
Chimera was marching along the LCL pool within Terminal Dogma, heading for the giant being on the cross. It knew that there was something special about that creature and that it needed to do something to get to it. There would be a chance for it to complete its mission, and, in so doing, act upon the race it had come to change.
Only, it stopped as one small being flew between it and the white one, and stared it down.
"You will cease your attempts to do what it is that you are doing," Magical Angel Guardian Rei-chan instructed it, with Ritsuko and Misato waiting for any fight, while:
